How To Make Caramelized Onions

I am going to show you how easy it is to make your onions taste great. You just caramelize the onions. This is a very simple but delicious way to transform onions to make a dish taste great. I love to use caramelized onions on pizza, breads, and in grain dishes.
The first step is to chop your onion into desired size pieces. Then place in a pan with one tablespoon of vegetable oil.

The next step requires patience as it can take 15-25 minutes. Over medium high heat stir the onions and the oil until they are light brown. This is a great time to listen to music or talk on the phone, as you need to keep stirring the onions for 15- 25 minutes. The time is well worth it!

I love to use my caramelized onions on a cheese pizza with rosemary. The onions are also great in dishes like millet with parmesan cheese and rosemary. I love the way rosemary and caramelized onions compliment each other.
