Kissme Organics: Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha Makes A Great Green Tea Latte

I love Green tea Matcha powder and use it is my smoothies for the great health benefits and energy I get from it. I have discovered a new kind of Matcha that is the cream of the crop. Kissme Organics: Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha  is a green tea powder that is of a high quality and tastes best when served warm in a tea. This green tea powder is grown in the shade and has a vibrant green color. The way it is grown gives the Matcha a slightly sweet flavor and smooth finish.

Since I like using Matcha green tea powder cold in my smoothies, I needed to do a taste test to compare Culinary Matcha( the kind I use) to the Ceremonial Grade( Kissme Grade Green Tea Matcha) to see the differences. I put the powders side by side with the Ceremonial on the right. There is not much difference in color.

I then made each into a tea with 1/2 teaspoon of powder and 3 ounces of hot water, again the color is similar. I first tasted each one without sugar and that is were I noticed a big difference. The regular Culinary Matcha was very bitter while the Ceremonial was had a slight bitter taste to it. I use sugar in my tea so a small bitter is normal to me but for if you like your tea without sugar you may not notice the bitterness at all. I then added 1/4 teaspoon sugar to both teas and the Culinary was still bitter while the Ceremonial tasted sweet.

I found the best way to drink Matcha green tea powder is with milk and sugar so I added 4 ounces of milk to make a nice green tea latte.

Green Tea Latte
1/2 teaspoon Matcha green tea powder
3 ounces hot water
1/4- 1  teaspoon sugar to taste
4 ounces warm milk

Add the Matcha powder to the hot water and stir until dissolved. Add the milk and sugar. Stir and enjoy.
