Support Team USA With P&G & Walmart #LetsPowerTheirDreams

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/P&G
The Olympic Games are an inspiration for my teenage son.

My family loves to watch the Olympic Games. A couple of weeks ago one of my youngest sons was just asking me when the Rio 2016 Olympic Games were going to be on TV. I was amazed that he knew this was a year for the games.  My son reminded the whole family that some exciting TV was about to happen. My family loves to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. We make it a family night with special snacks in front of the TV. The opening ceremony is the highlight of the Olympics and we put all other shows aside for the duration of the games. We all have our favorite sports to watch through the course of the Olympics. The one sport that the whole family enjoys watching together is track and field.  My husband participated in track and field in high school and I currently enjoy running. So it was only natural for my teenager son to be a runner. My son is on the track and field team at his high school. He does quite well on his team and is one of the faster runners. My son watches the track and field runners at the Olympics and is always amazed at how fast they can run. I know that the games inspire my son to run faster. They inspire him to train better as he wants to get scholarships for college based on his running. I am sure he watches the Olympics and dreams of one day being in the games. I know when I was a kid watching the Olympics was a big thing and I dreamed of being able to participate in them.

What kid does not dream of being good in sports? My son knows that being a fast runner takes more than a dream. My son knows it takes dedication and hard work. One of the Olympiads my family will be watching is Ashton Eaton. Ashton is a decathlon world record holder and did very well at the London 2012 Olympics. He recorded the highest marks in the 100m, 400m and long jump on his way to claiming the gold medal. Watching Ashton Eaton run in the Olympic Games will give my son the inspiration to train harder. My son also knows that a good athlete needs to eat healthy to be his best. Eating healthy also helps my son to look his best. Another way my son looks his best is by taking care of his appearance. My son recently started shaving about a year ago. My son wants a close smooth shave and prefers the Gillette razors like his dad uses. Last time when we shopped at Walmart, my son saw the Gillette® Fusion® ProShield® Razor with FlexBall™ Technology and asked me if I could buy it for him. As I wanted my son to keep shaving , I said yes.  I also bought  my son the cool looking razor as P&G, the makers of Gillette products, supports Team USA. When you purchase from a wide variety of P&G products at Walmart you are helping to give to Team USA. The low price was another reason I said yes to my son. So visit Walmart and buy the brands the support Teams USA and together we can Power Their Dreams.

My son likes the FlexBall technology in the Fusion ProShield razor as it gives maximum contact over his face contours, leaving no hair behind. That is important to my son as he wants to look good on race day as he never knows when he might get his picture taken. Other cool features of this sharp looking razor are the 5 precision blades for less tug and pull and that it gives lubrication before & after the blades to shield the skin as he is shaving.

The Olympic Games opening ceremony was amazing as usual and it got the whole family excited for the rest of the events. Everyone talked about which event they wanted to see. The youngest boys wanted to watch dirt biking while my teen and husband talked about the track and field events.  They wondered how fast the runners were going to be this year. My son can't wait to see how Ashton Eaton will perform.

What Olympic Game sport are you excited to watch this year?

This is so awesome! It's such a great thing that you and your family bond over something so special to you, I think that's awesome! Also, I went to University with Ashton, he's a real great guy! Perfect role model for your boys!

I remember watching the Olympic Games when I was younger and I love that my kids watch it now. It's such a fun tradition to pass on.

It is good that your son is inspired by Olympics. At least he is into Olympics rather than other bad things he might want to engage.

I don't usually watch the Olympics. I just can't get interested in sports too much. However, I do love how companies like Walmart and P&G are helping to support Team USA.

Those are some really cool products in support of TeamUSA. We are a sports mad family, so do spend a lot of time watching sporting events together, but we're TeamGB, of course, for the Olympics!

I've never seen the dirt bike event. I think that would be awesome to see too.

I just hear that Phelps was able to get another Gold, wow! I've never really seen any of the other sports in the Olympics, it's probably time to check them out.
