The Benefits Of Attending A Blogger Conference-ShiftCon 2016 Eco-Wellness Influence Conference

This will be my 6th conference. Scroll down to the end of this post for a code to save $50 off a ticket.

Many bloggers question if there are any benefits to attending conferences. They question is it worth it to spend money on the conference, hotel and airline ticket. I too had all these questions and did not think it was worth the money to attend a blogger conference, that is until last year. Last year with the persuasion of my husband, I attending my first conference. I am so glad my husband said I deserve a vacation by myself as he took time off from work so I could go to New York for my first blogging conference. My first conference did cost some money but it was so worth the cost. I gained information and hooked up with some brands. I also had a great time meeting other bloggers. The parties and food at the event made this trip so worth it. It was a vacation/business trip (yes, you can write off the expenses of the trip) that I am glad I took. So did this trip help me with my website? It sure did! I started getting lots of work from companies, some were product but others were paid in cash. Six months after this conference, I had earned back the expenses of this conference. My website was now a full-time job that I loved. I was hooked on attending conferences, not only for experience but also for the fun. I have since attended four more conferences since my first. Each conference has brought me more income and experience. I now put aside some of my income from my website to attend at least one conference a year. These conferences motivate me to work harder on my website so I can make the money to go.

So if you are ready to attend your first conference to bring your website to the next step or if you know the benefits of conferences, I have an awesome one to tell you about. The ShiftCon 2016 Eco-Wellness Influence Conference is one I will be attending this December. My passion is healthy living and this conference is all about that and more. If you don't write about healthy living, I say still attend as this conference is all about healthy food, (we all can eat healthier) wellness, health, and the environment. It is a great way to hook up with companies who are looking for people like us to promote their products on our websites.ites. These companies will have plenty of products ( in the swag bags and in the sponsor hall) for us to take home to try and write about. As of this time they are expecting 40-60 booths in the sponsor hall. You will learn at the workshops and have a ton of fun at the parties. It will simply be a business trip that feels like a vacation. The best part is you can write these expenses off when you're doing your taxes for the year. This will be the first year I will have to pay taxes for my website as I am now earning money from attending my first conference last year.

ShiftCon is the only social media conference focusing on food, wellness, health, and the environment. This conference blends workshops, networking, parties, and intense collaboration of changemakers all over in one place. Bloggers and other social media professionals participate and collaborate with each other to inspire and empower each other to create effective communication and take their profession to the next level. Attendees participate in workshops, learn from professionals, discuss their niche and value systems, and decide on themes to collaborate on in the following year. This is a powerful event meant to organize the eco-wellness niche as a powerful community online.

Check out the list of speakers at the Shiftcon conference. JP Sears will be speaking on Saturday!

The conference will be held at the gorgeous Hilton New Orleans Riverside and you can get a room for a great deal until October 15th, 2016

So take a leap of faith and attend your first blogging conference. If not for the learning and potential to grow your website, do it for a much-deserved vacation for you. Bring along the family or just go by yourself. Your family will find plenty to do in New Orleans while you attend the conference. My family went with me on a conference last year in San Diego and loved exploring the town.

Now do you want to save $50 off a ticket for this awesome conference?

Then use code VMOMKNOWSBEST at checkout. These tickets are selling fast, so I would not wait.

This is amazing and you're going to learn so much from a conference like this. I've been trying my best to switch to eco-friendly products at home. This is really nice!

Attending conferences like that, I believe, is helpful and beneficial. You get to market yourself and mingle with co bloggers and industry leaders.

I love going to conferences. I attend them for my profession as a teacher and as a educator.
