Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream Without a Machine

Homemade ice cream without a machine sounds too good to be true.

I remember as a kid making homemade ice cream but only for special occasions. When I was a kid, I would go camping with my Camp Fire Girls troop. The leader would always bring with her hand cranked ice cream machine, some rock salt, and some cream. All of us girls would take many turns, cranking the handle on the ice cream maker. Thank goodness there was a bunch of us girls camping as that machine took about an hour of cranking to make the ice cream but it was so worth it as homemade ice cream just tastes so good.

I don't own an ice cream machine so that means no homemade ice cream for me, or so I  thought. I recently discovered a wonderful product that allows me to make homemade ice cream at home without a machine. The best part is that no rock salt or cream is required and yet you still get a nice creamy ice cream. I can even add fresh or frozen fruit to it, making it a delicious creamy ice cream.

So I bet you are wondering how I can make ice cream without a machine. How is that possible? My homemade ice cream is made with the help of a wonderful mix from The Curious Creamery. This inexpensive mix is so easy to use also.

Watch the below video to see how this product transforms a couple of ingredients into some amazing ice cream.

So my boys and I just had to try this unique ice cream that requires no machine. I was surprised at how easy the Curious Creamery product was to use and all I needed was my ingredients and a hand mixer. The above video shows a wonderful carton that they mixed the ingredients into, sadly my ice cream mixes did not come with one of those cartons. So I just mixed my ingredients in a bowl and covered it with foil while it was in the freezer. I decided to add some Chocolate PB fit peanut butter powder to the mix as I love how this product adds wonderful peanut butter and chocolate flavor with only 1.5 grams of fat and 50 calories per serving. I also added some pure chocolate flavor for extra chocolate goodness. This chocolate extract is made by Nielsen Massey and gives my baking and smoothies a divine chocolate flavor that is natural. Nielsen Massey uses the finest cocoa beans when they make their extract. Maybe next time, I will make a strawberry ice cream with pureed frozen strawberries. The ideas are endless since the ice cream mix is just the base and you add the other ingredients to make your desired flavor of ice cream.

Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream
Ingredients  Serves 4

1 package The Curious Creamery Ice Cream Mix, unflavored original
1/2 cup cashew milk

1. Add The Curious Creamery Ice Cream Mix, pure chocolate flavor, and Chocolate PB fit to the cashew milk in a large bowl.
2. Wisk the mixture with an electric mixer for 3-7 minutes until wavy and creamy. The mixture should be almost double in volume.
3. Fold the chocolate chips into the ice cream mixture.
4. Freeze for 2-6 hours.

Oh now this sounds like a delicious ice cream, I've never tried making my own but if I did it would defintiely include chocolate.

The only kind of ice cream I have made is "protein ice cream" with my Nutribullet.

This is such a time saver! I hate telling the kids we are making ice cream and then hearing them ask every 5 seconds when it will be ready to eat!

I love cheese flavored ice cream. The product looks nice and it makes a really creamy ice cream. I would love to find something like this the next time I go shopping for groceries.
