A Foodie & Hostess Gift Idea with Nielsen Massey

Looking for a gift idea for a hostess gift?

The holidays are almost here and there will be plenty of party invitations. I don't know about you but I am always looking for gift ideas for a hostess gift. I love to give gifts that have food as who doesn't like to eat food? I also give gifts that have unique items in it. For my foodie friends, I like to make them a gift basket that is loaded with items that they can use in the kitchen and I always make sure to include some of my favorite products. I love baking and Nielsen-Massey makes the best extracts and flavorings. They are my go-to products that make my baked goods taste the best. So I love gifting some to my friends. This year my foodie/baking friends with be getting some delicious treats in a gift basket that I created with a box of goodies that I received from Nielsen Massey.

My box of goodies contained some of my favorite baking products and a couple of treats. These products were perfect for making my gift basket. These were products that I would love to receive for a gift. I knew that I had to buy more of these items so I could include them in my hostess gift.

I received a gift box from Nielsen-Massey and McCrea's Candies to facilitate this post

I was happy to include the Nielsen-Massey's Pure Coffee Extract and Nielsen- Massey's Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar in my hostess basket as these are perfect for all the holiday baking. The Pure Coffee Extract would some great flavor to my homemade Gluten Free Chocolate Mocha Protein Brownies that my family enjoys. I will be including a copy of that recipe in the gift basket. I know that the person receiving this delightful basket of goodies would enjoy using the Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar in many cookie recipes or in a cup of coffee. This sugar is perfect for sprinkling on top of sugar cookies before baking them to give them a special touch. I need to make a batch of my Lemon Frosted Rosemary Sugar Cookies and sprinkle some of the Vanilla sugar on the cookies. I know that this sprinkle of sugar will make these cookies look so pretty.

My boys both agreed that the McCrea's Classic Vanilla Caramels & the McCrea's Black Lava Sea Salt Caramels would be the ultimate touch for my basket of goodies. These rich, creamy caramels just seem to melt in your mouth. I really like that they are not hard and sticky so I could enjoy them without losing a tooth as I have a mouth full of crowns. The Black Lava Sea Salt was my favorite. The Hawaiian black sea salt gave these caramels such an incredible taste. My boys liked the vanilla caramels that were infused with plenty of sweet vanilla. I confess that the boys did not get to try the Black Lava Sea Sal caramels as I was not sharing them, yes they were that good.

I also added some pretty dish towels and a pot holder to my hostess gift basket. Then I tossed in some measuring cups and spoons to make this basket special. I just can't wait to give someone this basket of goodies.

I'm not much of a caramel eater but I would probably gift kitchenware to a foodie.
