Eco Baker Makes A Great Silicone Baking Mat For MyHomemade Soft Playdough & A Giveaway

I love silicone mats and have quite a collection of them. These mats are very useful in the kitchen and I use them for everything from baking to kid play. The one shown above is made by Eco Baker and it comes in a nice green color. This silicone mat fits a standard baking sheet as its size is 10.6" X 16.5" but if your baking sheet is bigger it still works. I love this silicone mat as you can bake food on it without the use of oils as nothing sticks to it. I find that the silicone mats allow your cookies to cook more evenly, resulting in less burnt cookies. Eco Baker Silicone Baking Mat was produced by real chefs too and is super safe to use with food as it is FDA approved. These mats are also easy to clean. I just soak mine in soapy water and hang to dry.

So how do I use these silicone baking mats?

I use these non-stick mats for:
Making cookies
Roasting veggies
Baking french fries
Making chocolates
Baking biscuits
Great for no bake cookies
Baking pretzels
Kids play dough

Homemade Soft Play Dough

2 cups cornstarch
1 cup hair conditioner

Place ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Add more cornstarch as needed to get the dough the texture of playdough. You can use your hands to form the dough into a ball. Store the dough in a tight lidded container so it does not dry out. If it does dry out just work some more conditioner into until it is soft again.
