I recently learned the truth about store-bought almond milk and I will not be buying store-bought nut milk. I have decided that I will be making homemade almond milk. What most people do not know is that the container of almond milk that is in your fridge contains very few almonds but a whole lot of other ingredients that you may not want. Store-bought almond milk is mostly water, sugar, artificial preservatives, and emulsifiers. Yuck!

So I decided to make almond milk from scratch using raw almonds. Then I quickly learned how time-consuming and messy it was to make homemade almond milk. No wonder they sell nut bags in packs of 6 as they are a pain to wash! The almond pulp never quite rinses off the nut bag. So I made almond milk once or twice and started buying almond milk again. I felt so defeated!

Homemade Almond Milk From Almond Flour

Then one day I was looking at a bag of almond flour and reading the ingredients when a light bulb went off in my mind. Almond flour is made from blanched almonds. So I could make homemade almond milk using almond flour. The almond flour takes away the long messy part of making almond milk at home. Almond flour eliminates having to soak the raw almonds and then having to peel the almonds.

Homemade Almond Milk from Almond Flour is
~ Creamy
~ Easy to make
~ Delicious
~ Saves Time
~ Cheaper than store-bought
~ Contains no preservatives
~ Better for you
~ Plant-Based
~ Dairy-Free
~ Gluten-Free
~ Perfect for recipes and coffee

Eliminate having to strain the messy almond pulp

Making almond milk from almond flour still requires the straining of the almond pulp from the almond milk, if you use a blender. I have discovered a small appliance that makes nut milk and this device eliminates the messy almond pulp straining. The Nutr Nut Milk Maker makes a delicious, creamy glass of almond milk in minutes without the mess!

I love using the Nutr Nut Milk Machine. This unique nut milk device makes all kinds of plant-based milk, from homemade oat milk to almond milk. The best part of using the Nutr machine, after the delicious creamy plant-based milk, is how simple it is to use and that it leaves behind very little nut pulp.

Ingredients needed for almond milk using almond flour

+ Almond Flour ~ Make sure to buy almond flour made from blanched almonds
+ Water
+ Salt
+ Vanilla Extract
+ Dates

Homemade almond milk is as easy as blending water and almond flour  If you prefer sweet almond milk then sweeten the milk with 2 dates, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

Steps to making almond milk

1. Add almond flour and water to a high-speed blender or Nutr Nut Milk Maker
2. Add dates, vanilla, and a pinch of salt if you desire sweet almond milk.
3. Blend the ingredients
4. Strain the almond milk

If you are using a Nutr Nut Milk Maker to make almond milk, you will need to make adjustments to the ingredients. Since the Nutr makes a single glass of fresh homemade almond milk, use 1/4 cup of almond flour and 1 cup of water. Press the room temperature setting on the Nutr Nut Milk Maker and eliminate the nut bag straining. The Nutr machine comes with a straining cup that fits over most any cup.

I'll have to give it a try,.
