How To Make Round Ice Balls With Modern Elixir Ice Ball Maker Mold & A Giveaway

Did you know that a round ice cube melts slower than a square. I just learned that and think that is so cool. I also think big round cubes look cooler in your glass and are awesome for your next party. The only problem is my ice maker makes rectangle ice cubes. I found a cool product that makes it easy to make big round ice spheres. Modern Elixir uses a silicone mold to create these awesome looking ice rounds. The ice not only looks cool in your favorite drink but because it has less surface area than a traditional cube, it melts slower thus you don't end up with a water down drink.

This easy to use silicone mold is great for freezing other things beyond water. You can freeze left over juice or coffee. A great way to dress up drinks for your next party is to freeze fruit along with the water in the mold to create awesome fruit ice rounds. You can also make cake pops in the ice mold as it is oven safe.

The mold is easy to use. You simply fill the bottom half with water or other liquids, then place the top on it and place in the freezer. Once the liquid is frozen, you twist the ice out. The mold only makes 4 ice rounds at a time, wish it made more, but you can start freezing the ice several days before if you need them for a party. You can also buy more than one mold too, as they stack well in the freezer. The molds are BPA free and dishwasher safe.

I will be making ice with blueberries in them and use them in my glass water container for my next party.
