Cesar Salad Made Safely With Davidson’s Safest Choice Pasteurized Eggs & Giveaway

I love eating Cesar salad when I go out to eat, but I always wonder if they used regular eggs or pasteurized eggs when they make they dressing. I know restaurants are suppose to practice safe food handling and use eggs that are pasteurized, but I still wonder. So why do I fuss about about pasteurized eggs in my Cesar salad?  The reason is regular eggs when used raw can contain the risk of Salmonella and that is a risk I am not willing to take.

I will make my Cesar salad at home with Davidson’s Safest Choice Pasteurized eggs and not risk getting Salmonella. Davidson’s eggs are raw eggs that have been pasteurized and have absolutely zero risk of Salmonella. So you can safely use these eggs in recipes that use raw eggs like Cesar salad. I love using Davidson’s eggs when making chocolate chip cookies as then I can eat the raw dough without worrying about Salmonella. These eggs would be great for making eggnog during the holidays and I will use them to make my husbands cranberry ice that requires egg whites.

So why my concern about Salmonella?  Salmonella in eggs is a major concern as this bacteria in food caused more than 1 million illnesses, more than 19,000 hospitalizations, and 378 deaths in the US every year, according to CDC. Did you know that 4 out of 5 Salmonella illness are caused by raw or undercooked eggs? So why take chances when you can use Davidson’s Safest Choice pasteurized eggs. You can make your eggs sunny side up with Davidson’s eggs. Learn more about Davidson’s Safest Choice eggs and how they pasteurize them so you can enjoy eggs without the risk of Salmonella. These eggs are sold in many stores and you can find out where to purchase them at the second link. You can even print a coupon to save money on your next purchase at the third link.
