Pampers Swaddlers Announces Its #ThankYouNurses Grand Prize Winner!

“This review was made possible by iConnect and Pampers.  I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.”

Has a special nurse made a difference in your life when you become a mother? As a mom to five kids, I have many memories of nurses who helped me bring my babies into the world. From the first doctor visit to hear my babies heartbeat all the way to giving birth, there have been many nurses who took good care of me and my babies. I remember the day that I gave birth to my first child, my only girl. She was two weeks late and needed to be delivered by c-section. I was scared at having to have surgery and become a mom at the same time. The nurses helped me through this tough time and were to take good care of me. This was twenty-six years ago so my recovery was a 5-day hospital stay. It was during those five days that wonderful nurses showed me how to take care of my baby girl. They gave us the best care. These nurses taught me a lot in five days. They showed me how to change diapers and how to feed my baby. When my daughter kept spitting up, one nurse suggested giving her soy formula. The nurses also took care of my baby so I could get some much-needed rest. How I wish I could bring one of these nurses home with me, but I knew they had to stay to help other ladies become mothers.

Pampers Swaddlers knows how special these nurses are and wanted to thank them for their hard dedicated work. They announced a #ThankYouNurses campaign last year to honor the nurses that go above and beyond to make life #BetterforBaby every day. Three special Labor & delivery, NICU and Postpartum nurses were selected from nominations from mothers who wrote about their special nurses. These nurses were honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories. Pampers Swaddlers is celebrating National Nurse Appreciation Week  by announcing the grand prize nurse of the #ThankYouNurses campaign. This nurse will be featured in an upcoming Pampers advertisement.

From holding their hands during labor to teaching how to change a diaper, nurses leave a deep, long-lasting impression on moms and form an important bond that transcends the hospital experience. Because of the nurses they trust, new moms can rest assured that everything is going to be okay. Parents will always remember their baby’s first cry, first cuddle, first hiccup, first diaper, and they’ll always remember the nurse that helped them transition into parenthood.

Pampers Swaddlers wants you to help celebrate these special nurses with a Twitter Party
      • The Pampers #ThankYouNurses Twitter Party, hosted by iConnect will take place on Wednesday, May 11th from 8-9pm CST.

  9. Yay! As a Labor & Delivery & pediatric nurse plus mother of 7 I have to say Pampers is the best! And thank you for recognizing nurses, we can often feel over looked or secondary to the MD's. :)

  10. We use pampers for our baby. The brand really delivers. Its funny that when we are in a grocery, i could hear the moms tell their kids to get pampers but the little kiddos would get a different brand. It turns out that they call diapers pampers. Great branding.

  13. Nice of them to give it back to our nurses! It's really a stressful job and very under-appreciated by a lot. As for Pampers, it's THE leading brand for me.
