I thought I Had Died And Went To Heaven

   I recently went on a vacation by myself and it was like a taste of heaven. I won a trip to West Palm Beach several months ago from a great company that I work with called Garden Of Life. They make the wonderful protein powder that I make my daily smoothies with which has helped me be able to tone my muscles.  My husband was not able to join  me due to work, so he told me to go and enjoy the trip by myself. I have a wonderful husband who told me that I deserved some time to myself. As a mom to five kids, he was so right. It was not an easy thing to get away by myself as I had to secure childcare for the youngest two boys. Thankfully my church had a day camp this summer that they were able to attend and grandpa agreed to drop them off in the morning and pick them up at night. He even kept the boys overnight. I simply had no reason not to go to my beach vacation. I tried to back out of my trip as I hate flying but my husband told me I would be just fine as he dropped me off at the airport.Once the plane trip part was over, I was one happy girl as this beach trip was so awesome.

  I felt like a princess at the resort that I was staying at. Garden of Life set me up at The Breakers hotel in West Palm Beach. They not only make wonderful whole food products but they have great taste in hotels. I arrived at the resort late in the day and checked into my room. My room was so luxurious. I had a plush king size bed to myself and a bathroom fit for a queen. There was even a TV in my bathroom mirror. I showed the picture of the TV in my bathroom mirror.and asked my husband if he would like this in our master bathroom. He, of course, said "sure".

This was my view from my room at the resort I was staying at. I slept with the windows open so I could hear the waves of the ocean as I slept. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sun also.

The next day my taste of heaven trip got even better. I was first treated to a breakfast buffet that was amazing. Every type of breakfast food that one wanted was on the buffet. I dined on a spinach omelet while I listened to the waves of the ocean, yes that is the ocean beyond a pool. In fact, the resort had four pools. I chose to swim in the adult only pool every day. I also did a lot of relaxing by the pool in a very comfortable chair that the cute pool guy draped a towel over for me.

 Most of my beach trip was spent by the water so I brought with the best natural chemical free sunscreen. Goddess Garden Organics keeps my skin safe from the sun with natural minerals and it is reef safe too. I love that I m not putting chemicals on my skin or in the ocean. The container I brought with was even perfect for airline travel as it was 3.4 ounces, the maximum liquid allowance.

  My whole week at the beach and resort was just perfect. I had beautiful views of trees and water. I ate wonderful food and even had my nails done. I did exercise too as the resort had a fabulous gym with views of the ocean. Exercise is more fun when you can look at the ocean. I even rented a bicycle to check out the rest of West Palm Beach. I just had to take a picture of my favorite dessert, tiramisu. It was very dark in the restaurant so I could not get a good picture but it was very delicious,

I was thankful for my week at the beach and I am already planning a trip to the beach with my family. It may not be as fancy as this trip but I so want to visit the beach again with my boys.
