Vegums Are The Perfect Supplements For Vegans

Going vegan is more than just eating plant-based food. It is about choosing products that do not come from animals.

The dictionary defines a vegan person as a person who does not eat any food derived from animals and who typically does not use other animal products. In today's world that can be a hard thing to do as so many products that we use are made from animals. From the shoes on our feet to even the roads that we drive on, animal by-products are used everywhere. Did you know that most asphalt contains beef-based fat that acts as a binding agent and your car tires are derived from cow by-products?

So going 100% vegan can be tough for the average person. While I strive to eat a more plant-based diet, I am not 100% vegan. Instead, I choose to buy vegan products when it comes to my well-being and the health of my family. When I am eating at a restaurant or buying an allergy-friendly snack, I look for the vegan symbol on the menu or package. When something is labeled vegan, I can be assured that it contains no dairy products. That in itself is vital as I discovered, through a food allergy blood test that I am allergic to dairy. Then several months ago, I experienced an anaphylaxis shock from milk. My severe dairy allergy was now considered life-threatening.

Why I choose vegan products

There are many other reasons that I choose vegan products. I choose to buy beauty products that are made from vegan ingredients. When I buy vegan beauty products like shampoo and lotion, that usually means the product has safe ingredients and no chemical ingredients like fragrances that can cause me to have an asthma attack. For the most part, I am able to manage my asthma without prescription medicines. I do have prescription medicines for emergency treatments for an asthma attack from a food allergy.

Using beauty products made from vegan ingredients is also better for my sensitive skin and it keeps my eczema away. So I like buying vegan products for health reasons. Other products that I choose to buy with vegan ingredients are supplements. Shopping for supplements that are vegan is not always easy. While the ingredients of the supplement made be made from vegan ingredients, the capsule or packaging can be made from animal by-products like gelatin. Did you know that most vitamin and medicine capsules are made from cow bones? It is cow bones, cow cartilage, and cow skin that gives us collagen or gelatin.

Vitamins and supplements that are vegan and eco-friendly

I recently discovered a multivitamin that is 100% vegan and eco-friendly. Vegums are the eco-friendly vegan gummy vitamin supplements that you need to know about! From the 100% plastic-free and recyclable packaging to the clean ingredients, Vegums are supplements that you can feel good about. Check out how Vegums makes supplements that are not only good for your body but are also great for the environment.

Created 100% Cruelty-Free

Vegums uses only naturally-derived ingredients. All of their ingredients are traced back to their source to make sure animal products were not used at any stage. Along with this, they only use unrefined cane sugar for sweetness and gelling agents derived from fruit.

100% Plastic-Free and Recyclable Packaging

The Envelope

+  Sustainability is extremely important to Vegums and they use padded kraft paper bags, filled with recycled macerated paper.

The Tube

+  Your first order from Vegums comes with a cardboard tube to store your Vegums gummy vitamins. These can be recycled or upcycled.

The Metal Tin

+ Your first Vegums order will also include a click-clack metal tin. Each tin can store a month’s supply of Vegums vitamins (Iron, Omega-3, or the Multivitamin) — perfect for keeping topped up on the go.

The Wrapper

+ The wrappers are plastic-free cellulose bags made from cornstarch. They are 100% biodegradable and can be thrown straight in your compost bin along with your potato peeling.

Developing the perfect vegan multivitamin

Two plant-based pharmacists John Ruston and Abdul Sharief created Vegums to make people feel good about their health, animal welfare, and the planet.

People can feel good because they are taking the right vitamins so their body is running at its optimum on a vegan or plant-based diet, but also feel good about the fact that every time they purchase Vegums they make a difference. From saving the lives of animals and saving another plastic bottle from ending up on the bottom of the ocean, every time Vegums are purchased, the world becomes a better place.

Vegums today are all-natural with ethically sourced ingredients and sustainable, biodegradable, plastic-free packaging.

Vegums currently make vegan multivitamin gummies, Fish-Free Omega-3 gummies, and vegan-friendly Iron gummies. All their supplements are suitable for both kids and adults! Their vitamins are also certified vegan by The Vegan Society! The gummies taste great and are easy to chew.

I'm not vegan, but I appreciate vegan supplements, since I can know that they're clean and not full of fillers and other junk.

As vegetarians, we have this issue about vitamin deficiency as we do not get the ones available only in animal sources. Vegums seem to be a great option for vitamin supplements.

Yikes! That dairy reaction must have been so scary. I know that dairy and I are not friends, so maybe I should look more into these gummies.
