WHITE BIRD Is The Next Chapter Of The Movie Wonder

You may have seen the movie WONDER a couple of years ago and loved how it inspired others to "choose kind." From the best-selling author of  WONDER, the book that sparked a movement to “choose kind,” comes the inspirational next chapter ~ WHITE BIRD.

Many thanks to Kingdom Faith Marketing Services for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

WHITE BIRD follows the same theme about kindness and it will inspire you to "choose kind" in a whole new way. WHITE BIRD is a deeply moving coming-of-age story and a testament to the courage it takes to extend kindness and love during the harshest of times. WHITE BIRD is the right story at the right time.

Being different is tough and one has to learn how to be brave, especially when a whole country does not like who you are. WHITE BIRD is a movie that will move you to never forget to be kind to everyone.

About WHITE BIRD: From the world of Wonder , which sparked a movement to "choose kind," comes the inspirational next chapter: WHITE BIRD. Struggling to fit in at his new school after being expelled for his treatment of Auggie Pullman, Julian (Bryce Gheisar) is visited by his grandmother (Helen Mirren) and is transformed by the compassionate and heroic story of her attempts to escape Nazi-occupied France during WWII. From the director of Finding Neverland, WHITEBIRD reminds us to be brave and choose kind.

For millions of readers and moviegoers, Wonder was the captivating, inspiring, and uplifting story of the power of kindness – how it can build bridges and change hearts. In WHITE BIRD, kindness even has the power to save lives, as Julian Albans, the bully who left Beecher Prep, is visited by his Grandmère from Paris and is transformed by her remarkable story of compassion and courage. As a girl in Nazi-occupied France during WWII, the young Grandmère goes into hiding with the help of a schoolmate, a young man who risks everything to give her the chance to survive. Together, they find beauty and love in the secret world of their own creation.

WHITE BIRD is rated PG-13 for some strong violence, thematic material, and language.

A tough movie to watch

WHITE BIRD was a tough movie to watch. It was about Julian learning about kindness through his grandma. His grandma was a Jewish schoolgirl in France who lived during the time of WWII. The movie is about the story of how she escaped death.

Julian's grandma was in school when the Nazis came for the Jewish people. She was able to hide from the Nazis in the woods. It was a young schoolmate by the name of  Julian who risked his life and that of his family to help her. Julian hid her in his family's old barn for over a year. During this time, the two young classmates formed a friendship in a secret world that no one could know about. When Julian was killed by the Nazis, his parents continued to help her, even after the war ended.

Thanks for your review! My wife saw the movie WONDER and liked it. She remembers the scene near the end where the daughter performs in the play Our Town at her school.

I didn't read the book, but I saw the movie "Wonder". It was a great cast and a great movie (although sad at times) with the message to be kind. I'm looking forward to seeing White Bird.

I have read the book "Wonder". Whenever I read about AI tools to change the backgrounds in photos and take imperfections out of them, I think of how, in "Wonder", Julian's mother Photoshopped family pictures to change cloudy skies to sunny skies and make everything look perfect...
