Safer Cooking With Tuxton Home Ceramic Coated Nonstick FryPan

Think about your family's health when cooking

I received a Tuxton Home 2-piece fry pan set to facilitate this post.

As I continue through my green journey of eliminating unsafe toxic chemicals from my house, I love discovering new healthy products that are good for my family. I started this eco-friendly wellness path about three years ago and I am still amazed at how many bad chemicals are in products that I use daily. I have have been discovering my sensitivities to many chemicals that were triggering my asthma. Since eliminating many toxic chemicals and dairy from my diet my asthma is getting better. Other things that are getting better is my dry skin and eczema since I switched to natural deodorant. I have since been working on eliminating toxic chemicals and plastic from the kitchen. I started using more glass containers and changing what I cook with. I started using safer frypans that do not have chemicals like PTFE & PFOA.

The safer choice in cookware

I recently switched out my Teflon cookware to an organic ceramic-coated nonstick fry pan made by Tuxton Home. This stainless steel pan has a ceramic coating that is free of PTFE & PFOA chemicals so that is better for my family's health. I love the bold colors that this pan is available in and it does a better job of cooking than my other pans. The first time that I used this beautiful cobalt blue frypan was the other day when I made my homemade egg foo young. I was amazed at how I did not need to use any oil or grease when cooking. My eggs did not stick to the saucepan one bit and the pan was so easy to clean after I finished cooking.

This ceramic pan is nonstick

This ceramic cookware is a high-performance frypan, not a wimpy piece of cookware. The encapsulated base with a tuxCORE aluminum disc ensures even and quick heating. I love how it is made from a professional stainless steel material that resists rusting. I can even place this pan in the oven as it is oven safe to 500°F. the handle on the ceramic cookware is cool looking and durable as they are securely riveted. Tuxton Home even thought to position the handle higher so it does not heat up and will not burn my hand. The safer cookware cooks evenly too. When I was cooking my egg foo young the other day on my gas stove, all the sides of the food cooked at the same rate.

Can be used on many cooking surfaces

I used my ceramic pan on a gas stove but this frypan is compatible with induction, electric, gas, halogen, and ceramic stoves. This pan is also designed for performance on the stove or in the oven. When I was done making my egg foo young and after I let the pan cool, it was so easy to clean with soapy water. If I wanted to, I could even place it in the dishwasher as it is dishwasher safe.

Love all the color options

My new ceramic frypan comes in a 2 piece set. The small pan is great for cooking for one and I love making breakfast eggs in it. The larger frypan is amazing to cook blueberry pancakes as well as seared salmon in it. This pan is available in six color options so you can have it match your kitchen or dishes. I had a hard time deciding which color was my favorite as they all looked beautiful. I went with the cobalt blue as it matched my new kitchen lights and looked so awesome hanging on my pot rack. Check out the six color choices of the Ceramic Coated Nonstick frypan HERE.

A kitchen staple, the Tuxton Home 2-piece fry pan set offers both quality and design

Which color choice do you like in the Tuxton Home Ceramic Coated Nonstick Fry Pan?

I am glad that I discovered a safer option for my cookware and I am eliminating more toxic chemicals from my home and food. I can cook my homemade egg foo young and not have to worry about toxic chemicals like PTFE & PFOA leeching into my food. You need to make my delicious egg foo young. You can get the recipe HERE. My recipe is a healthier option over Chinese take out food and tastes just as good as what you can get at an Oriental restaurant.

Is It Safe to Let Dogs Play with Sticks?

Dogs are known for picking up all kinds of items and playing with them as if they were toys. Many dog owners have reported that their dogs love to play with sticks they find in the yard or at the park. However, have you ever stopped to consider whether or not allowing your dog to chew on the sticks in your yard could be dangerous?

Are Sticks Dangerous to Dogs?
Sticks don’t seem like they would cause a problem for your dog, but there are a few hidden dangers that most pet owners haven’t even considered. First, as dogs chew on sticks, chunks come off, and not all dogs are going to chew them properly before swallowing. Not only can these chunks become lodged in your pet’s esophagus, but they can also get into the gastrointestinal tract and cause damage there, too.

Dogs have been treated for a variety of different injuries related to playing with sticks. Dogs can get sticks lodged in the roof of their mouths, get splinters from the wood, puncture or lacerate themselves with the sticks, and injure or lose eyes. These injuries can lead to severe infections that will also need treatment from a veterinarian. Vets have even treated dogs for impalement of the heart and lungs after playing with sticks.

Some trees are also toxic to dogs. Should your pooch decide to take a bite out of a black walnut, black cherry, yew, or red maple tree stick, they could need immediate veterinary care to prevent the spread of toxins.

Why Do Dogs Play with Sticks?
So, why are dogs so drawn to playing with sticks if they are so dangerous? Dogs are foragers, so they like to find different items. If they were wild, they would be looking for food, and without other sources of food, a stick might be the best option. Plus, dogs are known for being curious creatures, and they explore the world around them with their noses and mouths. Anything that smells safe is often put in the mouth for a little further examination.
Puppies chew on sticks for other reasons. During teething, chewing on sticks can help soothe the pain of cutting teeth. Puppies chew on nearly anything they can get their mouths on. Any wood object can be very dangerous, and you should try to prevent your puppy from chewing on anything that isn’t a dog toy.

Preventing Stick-Related Injuries
As a pet owner, you want to keep your pet safe and healthy, so how can you prevent these scary injuries? First, it is a good idea to limit your dog’s contact with sticks. Try to keep sticks and twigs out of your yard as much as possible. When out and about, keep your dog away from any sticks found on the ground. You can also teach your dog a command to drop a stick or leave it alone altogether.
Instead of playing fetch with sticks found in your yard, you can use balls or toys made specifically for dogs. Some manufacturers even make stick-shaped toys that you can play fetch with. No matter what toys you give your pet, make sure that they are supervised during playtime. Even toys can lead to choking or gastrointestinal blockages. Tough chewers often take large chunks out of their toys, which can lead to ingestion.

Any injuries or illnesses caused by chewing on sticks should warrant a visit to a veterinarian. Be sure that you contact a veterinarian right away if you think your pet has been injured by chewing on a stick.

The Best Back To School Clothing Picks For Middle School Boys

Time for back to school!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Back-to-school time is a busy time of the year and most parents are busy shopping for clothes, shoes, and school supplies. Throw in those last-minute doctor appointments for sports physicals and visits to the school to pick up school schedules. Add a last-minute vacation or a daily job. This leaves you super busy with little time or desire to head to the crowded mall for back-to-school clothes. So this year do yourself a favor and skip the crowded stores and shop for back-to-school clothes from the comfort of your comfy chair.

That is how I will be buying my boys’ new school clothes this year. I am glad that last spring I discovered a clothing store that has all the cool stylish clothes that my boys like. Between juggling shopping, work, and helping my kids prepare for the new school year, I’ve also found online tools like customessay services useful for managing writing tasks efficiently. Keep reading to discover an awesome giveaway with over $1000 in prizes.

Latest tween-boy fashion

My boys will both be in middle school this year and they seemed to be more focused on having the latest fashion when it comes to clothing. They have their styles and like certain styles of clothing. My boys both like wearing joggers to school as they are comfortable and stylish. My older son likes that joggers come with an elastic waistband and prefers ones that also have a drawstring. This boy is skinny so that helps him to keep his pants up. Joggers also have a relaxed fit so he can play basketball while wearing them. The youngest son likes joggers so he does not have to wear a belt. He too likes to run so joggers allow him to do just that.

I am glad that I discovered Brooklyn Cloth as they have many different styles and colors of joggers so my boys can choose what they like. A store that has a great selection of kids' clothing is a must so my boys do not have to dress alike. The older son hates it when his younger brother wears the same clothes as him. My oldest son selected a pair of the twill joggers while the younger son selected a pair of knit joggers. I loved that the joggers are in solid colors so they will match everything. My boys own other joggers and tops from Brooklyn Cloth so these additional clothing pieces will coordinate with them.

The shirts that my boys want

My boys also needed some shirts for their back to school wardrobe so I am glad that Brooklyn Cloth had affordable tees and hoodies that looked great with their jogger pants. Again each boy selected tops that matched their own style and were comfortable to play sports in. I like that they selected shirts that needed no ironing and the soft fabrics come out of the dryer wrinkle-free. The youngest son selected a black and white flag tee-shirt to show his American spirit. The older son selected a red hustle hoodie that will be great for the chilly fall mornings or for outdoor running in the winter.

Shopping made easy and affordable

I was happy that the boys found pants and shirts that they liked and I was able to get everything shipped to my front door. I did not have to leave the house or wait in long check-out lines. The boys were able to take their time selecting what they liked. The back to school clothes shipped out the same day that I ordered them and they arrived in a couple of days through the mail.  Shipping is also free on all orders $49+.  I was happy to check clothes shopping off my list of to do's for back to school. I was also happy that everything fit the boys perfectly. If the clothes did not fit, I knew that returning them for different sizes would be hassle-free as all I would have to do is print a label and mail them back.

New clothes add excitement to going back to school

Most kids don't like heading back to school after a summer break but I think new clothes helps get them excited about seeing their friends and meeting their teachers. I remember when I was a kid and back to school shopping was the one time I got new clothes. I could not wait to wear them and show them to my friends. My boys are ready to head back to school and they will be looking their best. Head on over here to find out where my boys got these amazing backpacks.
