Summer is almost here and that means being able to spend more time outdoors. Summer also means annoying mosquitoes are everywhere. Fears are rising about the dangers of the Zika virus and I want to make sure my family is protected against bites from these pesky bugs. While living in the desert has its advantages as we don't see many mosquitoes near our house as we don't have any water near us. Now when my boys go camping, that is a whole different story as there are plenty of these annoying bugs in the woods. I want my boys to be protected against mosquitoes but I don't want harsh chemicals like Deet on their skin. My boys hate the smell of Deet and hate when it gets into their mouth or eyes. So how am I to protect my boys? There has got to be a better way!
Thankfully there is a natural way to protect your family from mosquitos and it comes in the form of a stylish bracelet. I love that my boys can wear a cool looking PARA’KITO wristband and can enjoy their summer without being bitten by mosquitoes. This kid-friendly bracelet contains PARA’KITO’s scientifically-proven blend of essential oils which repel those annoying bugs. The essential oils, which have a pleasant smell of citronella, are packed into a pellet that tucks into a pouch on the wristband. My boys can then choose to wear the fun looking wristband on their wrist or ankle and can enjoy their day without having to slap bugs. They even make these wristbands in adult sizes.
Just look at the all-natural active ingredients in the PARA'KITO bands!
Citronella oil
Rosemary oil
Geranium oil
Mint oil
Clove oil
Peppermint oil
So how does these amazing chemical free wristbands work?
When your wear the wristband, these natural oils are released into the air around you and they help to mask the scents of your breath and body, making it harder for mosquitoes to find you. I just love how simple yet super effective these bands are. They last up to 15 days too! Now my boys can enjoy camping without chemical bug sprays.
All day, all zones, all climates
For the entire family
Up to 15 consecutive days efficacy per refill
Easy to use
Waterproof
Refill made in France - Patented diffusion
Assembled in the US
My boys are not going camping until next month so we decided to test these PARA’KITO in town by our small nature area called the Bosque. Bosque is Spanish for forest and that is what we call the small stretch of trees by the Rio Grande in New Mexico. This place has a small river and lots of trees so later in the day the mosquitoes come out by the river. We place the essential oil pellet into the mesh pouch on the wristband and placed it on my son's wrist. Since we were staying near each other the scent of the oil would protect us all. The oils smelled nice like a citronella candle. We stayed near the river as mosquitoes love water. No bugs came near us and we left without any bug bites. These bands are going to get a lot of use this summer. My boys are going camping two times this summer with their Cub scout troop. They are also going to a day camp in the mountains. I love that they can insert the kid-friendly pellet into their wristband by themselves. The best part is they can put on the wristband at the beginning of their camping trip and wear it the whole time, even to bed, and not have to think about bug prevention as they last for 15 days.

I would like to try the Omega-3 Pet Soft Gels from the Nordic Naturals website for my dogs. I would also like to try the fuchsia colored refillable band from the parakito website. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the Complete Omega liquid from Nordic Naturals, and the mosquito repellant clip from parakito.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the Probiotics Gummies.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the Ultimate Omega® 2x and the BRAZILIAN BAND.
ReplyDeleteI would buy the Refillable Clip and the 25 Dose pack to use on our vacation to the mountians
ReplyDeleteThose bands are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe FDA now has admitted that some natural oils are definitely effective. This is a huge step because no one likes DEET on their kids or themselves.
ReplyDeleteLike to try the Refillable Clip wit the 25 dose pack. thankyou, ken pohl19@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI would buy the refillable clip
ReplyDeleteI visited the Para Kito website and I would love to try the roll on! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the roll on gel. I hate getting gooey stuff all over my hands.

ReplyDeleteI like how unique and fun things to keep our kids protected. Sticker patch mosquito repellent is one too. Goodluck with the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteid definitely stick with the refillable band. its probably the one i would be most likely to remember to use
ReplyDeleteThis makes it easier for a lot of parents, instead of putting on lotion to drive the mosquitoes away, this band is a lot more convenient. I love that it's FDA approved as well. How innovative!
ReplyDeleteJudging by the convenience factor I'd say that is one of the better alternatives I've seen to repel the bites. I'm a little bit alarmed by Zika as well and although I know that it's impossible for that virus to be around my area, it still wouldn't hurt to have something like this for my outdoor activities.
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing! We could definitely use them here in south Louisiana. I'm going to go check them out now :)
ReplyDeleteI love this product, summer can be exhausting because of small bites when you are on a summer outing or a summer camp.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have this for my kids
ReplyDeletewow, I've never heard of these before, must check them out.
ReplyDeleteI would try the PARA’KITO™ ATHLETE
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the armbands for my daughter
ReplyDeleteThose are really neat. What a great idea. I would love to get a couple of these for my daughters. The bugs can get really bad in Summer.
ReplyDeleteI would actually get the bands. I like that they are re-fillable. Mosquitoes mostly (knock on wood) leave me alone but they go after my kids pretty hard. I'm on the hunt for a safe product they can use.
ReplyDeleteI would probably use the roll on gel because mosquitoes are ridiculous where I live.
ReplyDeleteI like the refillable bands the best. Everything I have ever tried cuts back on the bites but doesn't stop them all. Curious on how well this works.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this out! Mosquito's love me, mainly what I have in me. I think this might be a good product to try out to see if it will help me. Thank you for posting!
ReplyDeleteI would buy the refillable clips and sleep in RV on trips in summer, so would use it alot!
ReplyDeleteYou can't get much easier skeeter control than this. It's totally worth trying!
ReplyDeleteI'd get the Mosquito Repellant Clip so that there wouldn't be any allergy reactions on my kid's skin.
ReplyDeletethat is so cool!!!! i had no idea you could get something like that! i love going camping with my grandparents, i cant wait to get them all this. thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteLove the clip!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bracelet (pink or orange, hard to decide!)
ReplyDeleteI would try the refillable band... all products looking interesting though
ReplyDeleteI love those bands for my boys. I put mosquiyo patches on their clothes and sometimes the sticky part would just drop off. With bands like those, i know they are just there unless they play with them and they got lost.
ReplyDeleteI am.interested in the roll on gel as I don't want tan lines

I would love a refillable clip. Brittney House
ReplyDeleteI'm going to need one of those for the kids and for myself. We have a path where we go on walks but during the hot spring and summer, it is hell with those mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteI'd like the refillable black clip so I can put it anywhere and not just on me.
ReplyDeleteI would try the roll on gel.
ReplyDeleteSo smart! We need these, my hubby is a mosquito magnet!
ReplyDeleteRefillable band. I love that it's deleted free.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the Probiotics Gummies.
ReplyDeleteI would purchase several of the products to keep away mosquitos.
ReplyDeleteThis is right on time! One of the reasons I don't like camping is because of the mosquitos...but I'm willing to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the Complete Omega
ReplyDeleteI would like the Probiotic Gummie or anything that repels mosquitos lol.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the refillable clip.
