Do you love garlic? Then you will love these gourmet garlic products!
April is National Garlic Month! What better way to celebrate this delicious spice than with a Giveaway. I love the flavor of garlic on my food so when I foud out that there was a Roasted Garlic Hot Sauce, I just had to try it! I thought this sauce would taste great on scrambled eggs or a shrimp pizza. This flavorful garlic sauce gave my eggs the perfect amount of heat. This sauce is sweet with a warm heat so it does not make your mouth feel on fire. This cool looking bottle now stays on my kitchen table so I can use it on many foods like veggies, beans, tacos, and anywhere else that I desire a kick of heat. The garlic taste is just so wonderful.
Dave's Gourmet is a company after my heart as they make so many delicious garlic based products like hot sauces, pasta sauce, and more. I love that some of their products have just a bit of heat for those days that I don't want a bunch of spice in my food. My kids love Dave's Roasted garlic & Sweet Basil pasta sauce on their pasta. It has the perfect amount of garlic and uses Non-GMO ingredients.
A funny story about how Dave's Gourmet got started: Dave started out with a hot sauce that started as a joke. Dave owned a Mexican restaurant in College Park, Maryland called Burrito
Madness. He needed a way to drive late-night unruly customers from his business so he started serving them a hot sauce. He kept making his provocative sauce hotter and hotter. The answer to his late-night problems was oleoresin capsicum, not coincidentally
the debilitating ingredient in pepper spray. Dave’s hot sauce developed a cult following and turned into a business. Dave brought it to the National Fiery Food Show in 1993 but was banned from the show because, as Dave describes it, “some guy had a minor respiratory
problem.”
That hot sauce is now called Insanity Sauce and Dave’s Gourmet has worked since 1993 to save the world from blandness and banality. Now Dave’s makes hot sauces for those of us
who can’t handle extreme heat and award winning pasta sauces too.
