Tysons Run Movie Review + GIVEAWAY

It takes determination and strength to run a marathon race. It is not for the weak and a teen with autism proved anything is possible when you don't let anything hold you back.

I have always admired those who can run a marathon. This is a 26.2-mile race that takes a lot of training. I am a runner and I have run many running races but never a marathon. In my younger days, I wanted to run a marathon but never found the time to train for a marathon race. Now that I am older and have more time to run, the marathon bug is starting to hit me again. This past month I have been running a marathon on my elliptical and it has been a sweaty workout. My marathon was broken down into 6 one hour sessions and I even ran one hour on a treadmill at the gym.

So when I saw a preview for a movie about an autistic teen running a marathon, I knew this was a movie that I wanted to watch. Running is in my blood and I have even passed my running passion to my children. Two of my sons are currently on the track team at their schools. The college kid is a super-fast runner and has even run a marathon.

Tyson's Run is in theaters on March 11th ~ an amazing movie that the whole family will enjoy

I was overjoyed that I received a special link to preview Tyson's Run from the comfort of my home. It had been a long day for me so I was ready to relax with a movie night. My favorite movies to watch are the ones with feel-good stories and Tyson's Run delivered a movie with a feel-good story of faith, courage, grit, and determination. This movie proved to me that no dream or goal is too big when you don't place limits on yourself. Tyson is a teen who has autism but he does not let his autism define who he is. He is a person who does not place limits on himself.

Tyson does not place limits on himself, so, no limits should be placed on him

Have you ever found yourself trying to get the approval of a parent? If not, you likely know someone who has. That’s where Tyson, a teen with autism, finds himself as he watches his hero father lead the high school football team. Tyson’s Run is not only relatable, but also a beautiful picture of the rewards of dreams, determination, and relationships when we don’t quit.

SYNOPSIS

When fifteen-year-old Tyson attends public school for the first time, his life is changed forever. While helping his father clean up after the football team, Tyson befriends champion marathon runner Aklilu. Never letting his autism hold him back, Tyson becomes determined to run his first marathon in hopes of winning his father's approval.

With the help of an unlikely friend and his parents, Tyson learns that with faith in yourself and the courage to take the first step, anything is possible.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1st Corinthians 9:24

The Tyson's Run movie had some of the best quotes and the 1st Corinthians 9:24 quote was my favorite. Tyson discovered that he had a passion for running and with the help of a friend, he was able to run a marathon. Tyson had plenty of stumbling blocks in his way of completing his first marathon, with one being on the spectrum, but he had the determination. Tyson did not give up.

In Theaters March 11th, 2022

This is a movie that I enjoyed watching and I want to watch it again when Tyson's Run is playing at the movie theaters. Tyson's Run will be in theaters on March 11th, 2022 and you need to grab a friend or two to enjoy this awesome movie. If you like movies that have great feel-good stories, you will like this movie. Trust me it will not disappoint you. The star who plays Tyson, Major Dodson, has autism in real life. So who better to play this part in a movie about a teen with autism who breaks down barriers. This is a movie for people to be inspired, moved, and understand the true impact of acceptance.

A challenge is nothing more than an opportunity to believe

I love that four-time Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Yolanda Adams recorded If You Believe, an original song, just for Tyson’s Run. Tyson’s Run is a movie we can all relate to. Tyson’s longing to be accepted by his father leads him to push himself further than anyone might have thought possible. Ultimately, it is a heart-warming story of overcoming odds, changing perceptions, and of love winning. Don’t miss it on March 11th!
