When I hear that Kirk Cameron and the Kendrick Brothers have made another movie, I get excited. I have enjoyed watching their movies and they always inspire me. Their newest movie LIFEMARK did not disappoint me. It was a movie that I loved watching and I loved that it was based on a true story about choosing life and adoption.

Choosing the gift of life is a beautiful thing. It may not always be the easiest decision to make when you discover that you are pregnant with an unplanned pregnancy. Choosing to give life to a baby to only say goodbye to the baby, as you give the baby to someone else to raise is a hard thing to do. Choosing to endure 9 months of putting your life on hold to bless someone else with a baby is what adoption is all about.

I am Pro-Life

I look at my own life and I am thankful that my mom chose to give me life. I was her last baby of 5 children and I know that her life was not the best when she had me. She was married to an abusive alcoholic husband who was never home. So she was raising 5 kids under the age of 8 by herself. I can only imagine how she felt when she found out she was pregnant again after just having a baby 10 months ago.

I remember how I felt 15 years ago when I discovered I was pregnant with baby #5 and baby #4 was only 8 months old. I felt overwhelmed and scared! How was I going to take care of 2 babies so close in age? My older kids were all spaced 4-5 years apart. At the time, I thought that it was going to be impossible to take care of another baby. While I never had thoughts of ending this pregnancy, I just wished that I was not pregnant at this time in my life. Dealing with morning sickness and being tired while taking care of another baby was not easy. I was thankful that I had a husband who loved me and the baby that was growing inside of me. When I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time, I was overjoyed that God chose to bless me with a baby. The first 6 months after baby #5 was born were tough, it was like I had twins, but now I look at my youngest boys as a double blessing from God.

LIFEMARK is a story of hope, of overcoming the obstacles life throws at us, reveling in the art of faith, grace, and perseverance.

Go see LIFEMARK in theaters starting September 9th!

LIFEMARK is based on a true story of a scared high school girl discovering that she is pregnant and realizing that she is not ready to be a mom. This movie shows how an unplanned pregnancy can be a blessing to someone else. This young girl and her boyfriend make the tough decision to not end their baby's life knowing that someone else will be raising their baby.

Can one decision, one choice, impact so much more than one life? That's the heartbeat of LIFEMARK, the new movie from the Kendrick Brothers and Kirk Cameron.
