The highly anticipated Biblical Event Series, The Faithful: Women of the Bible, stars Minnie Driver, Natacha Karam, and Jeffrey Donovan and premieres Sunday, March 22 (8:00–10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. It is a three-week television event culminating on Easter Sunday, April 5. Episodes will also stream the next day on Hulu.
The series was filmed on location in Rome, Matera, and Italy. This landmark drama thoughtfully brings to life stories from the Book of Genesis through the women whose lives were woven into God’s unfolding plan.
Through moments of waiting, trust, brokenness, forgiveness, and redemption, the series explores the deeply human experiences behind Scripture and invites viewers to see familiar passages with renewed understanding and compassion.
Each episode follows the journeys of five women of faith:
~ Sarah (Minnie Driver) - Who is learning to trust God’s promises even when hope feels impossible.
~ Hagar (Natacha Karam) - One who is discovering that God sees and cares for the forgotten.
~ Rebekah (Alexa Davalos) - A woman wrestling with family, purpose, and the consequences of choice.
~ Leah (Millie Brady) and Rachel (Blu Hunt) - Two sisters navigating love, identity, and God’s blessing.
Through their struggles and perseverance, we are reminded that God works through imperfect people to accomplish a story far greater than any one life — a story that ultimately points forward to hope.
The Faithful: Women of the Bible is produced by FOX Entertainment Studios and distributed worldwide by FOX Entertainment Global. The series is executive produced by Carol Mendelsohn (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Julie Weitz (Game of Silence), and Rene Echevarria (Carnival Row, The 4400), who also serves as showrunner.
