My Teen Loved The Benefits of Kombucha

My teen son agreed to try out the Kombucha Skincare Set. His first impression of the skin care set was about the cool look of the bottles. He liked the green, yellow, and orange colors with the bold black letters. My son also loved that these products were made with teens in mind.

Just like his mother, my son is into natural skin care products with clean ingredients. So my son liked the list of ingredients that he could easily read on the back of the products. When I explained to him that the products have the power of the good bacteria from Kombucha to help with acne, he was ready to use them as he tends to get plenty of zits.

No-Bake Vegan Chocolate Hemp Seed Protein Bars

 These no-bake hemp seed protein bars are amazing! Loaded with wholesome ingredients and plenty of protein with plenty of chocolate flavor. They are the perfect after-the-gym snack.


 After I work out, I always recover with plenty of protein. Protein helps your muscles recover after a workout and it is essential for building muscle. While most days, I consume a protein shake after the gym, as it is a quick and easy way to get my protein, there are days that I want to have a protein snack with some chewing. I like to have options for my high-protein meal.

 I have been training for a 5k race, so I have put more time into my workout sessions. So lately, I have been starving when I get home from my morning workouts and my protein shakes are not satisfying my hunger. So I have been grabbing cookies from the pantry to eat with my protein shake. So I thought to myself, why not just make some grab-and-go protein bars to eat for breakfast. 

Making healthy high protein bars 

 Since I wanted a substitute for my protein shake, I needed to create a protein bar with 20 grams of protein. So I took Easy No Bake Dairy Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Granola Bar recipe and made some ingredient changes to make it a high-protein granola bar. One of the ingredient changes that I made was adding protein powder, as this is one of the best ways to increase protein in a recipe. I usually use Nuzest plant-based protein in my protein recipes but I wanted to try a new protein powder.

 I recently discovered hemp seeds and I am loving all the nutritional benefits from eating hemp seeds. So I grabbed the bag of Hemp Protein Powder from my pantry, so I could start my baking. I also grabbed many other wholesome ingredients for my high-protein granola bar recipe.

 When people discover I can't eat wheat, they always reply, "That must be hard, I could never give up bread!" When I discovered that I was allergic to wheat, giving up bread was hard. I was sad that I would never enjoy a slice of bread with butter.

A For King + Country Unsung Hero Film Celebrates Family

 From the studio behind Jesus Revolution and I Can Only Imagine comes a true story about one family's journey from down under to center stage. If you love the band FOR KING + COUNTRY, Unsung Hero is a movie that you need to see.

 If you love the band FOR KING + COUNTRY, you have to see their new film, Unsung Hero. This is a movie that tells the story of how For King + Country got their start in music. The film starts at the beginning of the brother's journey, while they were still kids. It was a tough journey for their family with many difficult situations but these brothers, along with their parents and 5 siblings persevered to where they are today.

This movie may remind you about difficult trials that you faced in your life, as it did for me. The movie may also remind you about a mighty God that we serve and how he brought you out of the trials.

 I was able to see a special screening of the movie Unsung Hero and enjoyed this movie. I loved learning about the true story of the family behind the music band A For King + Country and what they had to endure before becoming famous. This movie has an incredible story of faith and family. It was a movie that had so many things that I could relate to. 

Watching the movie brought up so many emotions for me. Seeing the difficult things that this family had to endure was eye-opening and it reminded me of my past struggles. The family left their successful life, which included living in a mansion, to come to America for a new job opportunity. When the job fell through, they had no money and had to sleep on the floor in a house with no furniture.

The mom's incredible faith and strong family bond helped this family to not give up. The family never stopped praying and prayed for even the smallest insignificant things. Many amazing prayers were answered in incredible ways and the family always remembered to thank God.

Please & Thank You Poster

 I was really inspired by the Please & Thank You Poster that Smallbone the family used to teach their kids to pray. When the kids had prayers, mom posted them on the "Please?" section. When the prayer was answered, mom moved the note over to the "Thank you!" section. This prayer poster inspired me to help my family pray more and I created the same poster in my home. 

A movie about blessings

Once the movie was over, I was filled with joy. The movie helped me to see all the blessings that God has done in my life. There was even a scene in the movie that really reminded me of an answered prayer in my own life. 

A cereal wall

 One of the kids' prayers was for cheaper food, after a grocery store visit with mom that involved mom having to put items back. The next day the child saw grocery coupons in the newspaper as they were taking out the trash. 

 I too prayed for help with providing food for my family, when we had money struggles. God took my couponing skills to a whole new level when the answer to my prayer was to gather extra coupons from my neighbor's recycling bags and from community newspaper recycling bins. My kids still reminisce about the cereal wall that we made, after being able to use the coupons to get 50 free boxes of cereal.
