Michael's mom Carol went home to Jesus on April 18th after suffering with alzheimers. The service for her was touching and spoke well of her. People sent many beautiful flowers for her and I know she was enjoying them from heaven.

A Great Soda! Zevia Soda and A Giveway

I am all about being healthy and I try to feed my family healthy food. I was happy when I discovered Zevia zero calorie soda. The bright colorful cans is what attracted me to Zevia. The fact that it was sweetened naturally with Stevia and had zero calories made me happy. As a mom I also love that Zevia is clear soda with no artificial colors added to it(no stains when your little one spills.)  Only the colas, Dr. Zevia, and Ginger root beer have natural caramel color. Zevia is wonderful tasting and I feel good about allowing my little ones to consume a Zevia soda. My boys get excited when they get a Zevia soda for a treat.

Zevia soda came to the rescue last winter when my boys had the stomach bug. I was able to get the boys to drink more fluids with Zevia and because it was clear I did not have to worry about stains on the carpet if they got sick.

Here is my recent stash of Zevia that I bought from Sprouts two weeks ago when it was on sale.

Zevia zero calorie soda comes in 15 wonderful flavors and each can is a unique color. See flavors Here

I love all the flavors of Zevia but my favorite ones are Grapefruit Citrus Lime Cola Grape Strawberry

Zevia has a wonderful Facebook page that fans love to visit to enter contests and chat with others about Zevia.
Zevia also is on Pinterest and their Website even has recipes to use Zevia in.

You can purchase Zevia on Amazon or at most health food stores like Wholefoods and Sprouts. Go to Zevia for a coupon before you buy.

Zevia is also giving five of my readers a free six pack of their wonderful soda in the form of a coupon so you can choose your flavor. Just enter on the Rafflecopter form below.

This Is Our Time Movie Review And A Giveaway

I love when films come out that are faith based. I was sent this wonderful movie This Is Our Time from Flyby Promotions to watch and review. This movie helps us to realize it is about God's plans in our lives and how we need to be faithful to Him even when times are tough.  When we follow God,he will help us through the hard times.

About This Is Our Time
The movie tells the interwoven stories of Luke (T.J. Dalrymple) and Alé (Erin Bethea), who marry right after school and move to India to serve as missionaries for Embrace A Village, a ministry that cares for those afflicted with leprosy and their families; aspiring financier Catherine (Kate Cobb), who joins a prestigious financial institution determined to make an impact on corporate America; Ryder (Matthew Florida), who lands an impressive job in social media and can’t wait to use the powerful medium for a greater good; and Ethan (Shawn-Caulin Young,) seemingly the odd man out, who struggles to find his God-given-purpose and feels sidelined by God.
“What they all come to learn is that it never really was their time,” Arnold said. “It always was, always is, God’s time.”

I have a copy of this DVD to giveaway to one of my readers. Just enter on the Rafflecopter form bellow.

Making a Frugal Dinner From Old Bread

I have a great recipe to up stale old bread. This dish is easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients on hand, You need some stale bread, tomatoes, cheese, and eggs.

                                         Pizza casserole

enough bread cubes to fill a large baking dish( I used 5 sandwich rolls)
2-4 fresh tomatoes diced or a can of diced tomatoes drained
                    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
                      12 eggs beaten
                    salt and pepper to taste
                    2 teaspoons pizza seasoning

1. Cube the bread into a large baking dish to fill it. Then put bread into a bowl and add diced tomatoes, cheese and seasonings. Mix ingredients together and put into a well grease large baking dish. Pour beaten eggs over bread, tomatoes and cheese. Then using a spatula press into dish.
2. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes until eggs are set.

Here is the finish product. My picky husband even liked it.

You can also make other types of this dish:
mexican- use cheddar cheese, green chile, and chili powder
breakfast- use cheddar cheese, bacon and omit the pizza seasoning
