Coffee Drinking For Wellness ~ Can Coffee Be Good For You?

There is so much controversy about coffee, year after year. One study says drinking coffee is bad for you, while the next study says drinking coffee can be good for your health. These studies can leave people confused about whether to enjoy that cup of coffee.

Drinking coffee can be good for wellness. Coffee is loaded with antioxidants, and studies have shown antioxidants to be a good thing. Studies have also shown that regular coffee drinking can lower your risk for many chronic conditions like heart disease, dementia, and Parkinson's disease.

While drinking coffee can be good for you, there are many items to consider when drinking coffee for wellness. So grab your favorite mug of coffee and learn more about the wonderful world of coffee and its relationship to your health.

Health benefits of coffee

1. Coffee can lower inflammation

Coffee has antioxidants and other beneficial compounds that can, in small amounts, help reduce inflammation. Inflammation can be related to many health conditions, including asthma, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, and more.

2. Coffee can increase longevity

If you want to live longer, make sure to drink your daily cup of coffee! Research has found that regular coffee consumption can enhance longevity by protecting against health problems like cardiovascular disease, cancer, and obesity.

3. Coffee can improve your memory

Drinking coffee has been shown to improve cognitive function and short-term memory, as well as decrease the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s by up to 65%!

How much coffee you drink is important

Too much coffee can have negative effects on the body, as excess caffeine can make you jittery or cause sleep issues. The recommended amount of coffee is 4 cups of brewed coffee or 400 milligrams of caffeine.

For some, the time of day that you drink coffee matters too. If you are sensitive to coffee, drinking coffee up to 8 hours before bed can cause sleep problems.

What you add to your cup of coffee matters

What you add to your coffee is just as important to your health as drinking coffee. Next time you make yourself a cup, take these factors into consideration to sip your way to better health!

1. Be mindful of your sweeteners

If you are loading up your cup with heaps of sugar and syrups, those can be equally detrimental for your health. Using artificial sugar-free sweeteners is also bad for your health. Try using less sugar or swap out your regular sugar for raw honey, pure maple syrup, coconut sugar, or stevia.

2. Add better creamers or milks

Most of the creamers you buy at the store are filled with sugar and all the unhealthy fake sweeteners you are trying to avoid. Choose healthier options for your milk or creamers. Select plant-based milks like oat, almond, or coconut milk, or purchase organic, grass-fed dairy milk.

The type of coffee you drink matters

While coffee itself possesses a host of potential health benefits, the quality and sourcing of your brew can greatly impact its overall impact on your well-being. Opting for high-quality, organic coffee ensures that you are not consuming harmful pesticides, herbicides, or other toxins that may be present in most conventional coffee beans.

Most non-organic coffee beans contain mold, pesticides, chemicals, and mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are toxic substances produced by certain types of fungi and molds, and exposure can lead to a range of health issues, ike chronic inflammation and autoimmune conditions.

Purity Coffee is pesticide-free, USDA-certified organic arabica coffee that is crafted for your health. Purity Coffee's rigorous process guarantees zero mold species in every cup, and they lab-test to ensure their coffees are free from toxins and contaminants.

Why I drink Purity Coffee

I discovered Purity Coffee at a natural health event last month in Denver. Once I learned about the health benefits of this coffee and that it was tested for mold, to make sure it did not contain any, I knew that I had to switch to this coffee.

I am allergic to many types of molds, and I experienced mold sickness four years ago. My health suffered in many ways from the mold exposure in my home, including severe asthma symptoms and the development of a wheat allergy.

It took me a while to detox from the mold exposure, and I am still doing treatments like infrared sauna use due to the high inflammation in my body. So I am careful to not be exposed to mold again. I also have several air purifiers in my home that can filter the mold from the air.

When I learned that most coffee beans can contain mold, including some organic brands, I knew that I had to swap the coffee that I drink for Purity Coffee. Sure, Purity Coffee may cost more than brands like Folgers, but my health is more important. When you consider the cost of doctors for chronic health problems, drinking Purity Coffee is the better choice.
