Last year, I decided to stop using dishwasher tablets with the red ball. After reading the product ingredients, I knew that I had to stop using them. The tablets contained fragrance, colorants, and plastic. The shocking part was that this company listed those ingredients as "helpers."
As someone sensitive to fragrance and who knows the dangers of chemical fragrance, I went on a quest to find a healthy option for my dishwasher cleaner. It was not an easy one. I tried many natural dishwasher detergents that did not work.
Many of the products that I tried did not clean the dishes, or they left a powder residue on my dishes. As my teens emptied the dishwasher, they would complain about the unclean dishes and toss them into the sink, instead of into the cabinets. My boys would voice their opinion and tell me to buy the toxic dishwasher tablets.
I refused to give up. I was not going to eat off of dishes that had smelled like artificial fresh scent. Sadly, if I wanted clean dishes, I had to compromise in my selection of safer dishwasher soap. I found a fragrance-free dishwasher detergent, but it still contained a high amount of sodium chloride, along with the Keep Out Of Reach Of Children warning.

My experience with Lucent Globe's Dishwashing Sheets
When the dishwashing sheets from Lucent Globe arrived to my home, I opened the box and did a smell test. I was concerned that the lemon scent was a chemical fragrance. The scent passed my test and it did not make me have any asthma issues. So I knew that the lemon scent was natural.
I am a canary when it comes to chemical fragrances and other toxic ingredients. My lungs can sense the dangers of chemical fragrance. While most people may not react to chemical fragrances, they are still harmful. Chemical fragrances are like second-hand smoke.
How did the dishwasher sheets perform?
I loaded my dishwasher up with my dirty dishes. I did not rinse the dishes. Then I added the dishwashing sheet and started the dishwasher. The sheets fold up to fit into your dishwasher soap compartment.

These sound awesome. But in my area, we are prone to hard water. Hard water makes it more difficult for the detergent to work properly. I have to use a platinum or advanced soap. If not, the dishwasher doesn’t clean the dishes and leaves a weird film on things. I’ll have to look for these next time I need dish washer detergent.
