Kroger Skillet Meals Help you to Get A Good Meal On The Table

If you are like most families, you have a busy lifestyle and getting a good dinner on the table can be a chore. So instead of getting fast food tonight get a meal your family will love. Kroger makes these awesome skillet meals that take 10 minutes in the microwave to cook. They serve 2- 4 people and come in great flavors like  Tuscan-Style Penne, Sausage Rigatoni, Penne with Grilled Chicken,  Shrimp Lo Mein and Chicken Fajitas.
Create a complete meal by pairing Kroger Skillet Meals with your favorite sides, such as Kroger Garlic Bread, and Fresh Selections Salad Kits.
I received coupons from Bzzagent to buy these items and they tasted great. I bought the Shrimo Lo Mein. I added carrots to my meal, as I had some left overs in my fridge. I loved how easy it was to get dinner on the table. Look for these meals at your Kroger stores( Smiths here in Albuquerque) in the freezer section. What meal would you like to try tonight?

Swerve Sweetener Tastes like Real Sugar

I received this awesome sweetener from Mamavation and Swerve.Swerve is a great tasting, natural sweetener that measures cup-for-cup just like sugar!  Swerve is a great sweetener that is a replacement for sugar, Swerve is zero-calorie, non-glycemic and safe for those living with diabetes.  Human tests have shown Swerve does not affect blood glucose or insulin levels. Swerve can be used in your coffee and baking too.

I first tried Swerve in my coffee and my coffee tasted great. I then decided to bake with Swerve to put it to the challenge. I decided to make a pumpkin pie and of course I did not tell my family that I replaced the sugar in the pie with Swerve. My pie recipe called for 3/4 cup sugar, so I used 3/4 cup Swerve.  My family did not even notice a difference in the taste, they loved the pumpkin pie.

Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pie Crust

I received this awesome pie box and two packs of Bob's Red Mill gluten-free pie crust mix. The pie crust mix is a new product from Bob's Red Mill and I could not wait to try it out. I made a pumpkin pie with the crust mix. The pie mix made making a pie crust very easy as all I had to do was add butter and water. The crust was easy to roll out and made my pie taste wonderful. The pie crust was buttery. It was hard to believe that the crust was gluten free.

I did not tell my family that the pie crust was gluten free as we have no gluten problems in our family.
My husband thinks gluten free equals taste free and I was out to prove him wrong. Bob's Red Mill knows how to make gluten free products taste great. I gave my husband a piece of the pie crust after I baked the pie and he said: "this crust is very good, gluten free buttery and flaky." I then told him it was gluten free and he wanted to know the ingredients as he did not believe me.The ingredients are simpleIngredients:
Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Tapioca Flour, Sugar, Rice Bran, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum

This pie crust mix is great for people who need gluten-free products but tastes like a normal pie crust so no need to make two separate pies for Thanksgiving. Bob's gluten-free pie crust mix makes two pie crusts and is wonderfully priced at $4.39 a bag. For more information on this great product and to purchase go to http://www.bobsredmill.com/pie/

Blondies

This is an easy cookie recipe to make and so yummy. I made two different batches, one with white chocolate chips and the other with milk chocolate chips.

                                   Blondies
Ingredients
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 tablespoons (1 stick)  butter, melted
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup white or milk chocolate chips

Directions
Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Lightly butter an 8-inch square baking pan. Beat together the sugar and egg until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the vanilla and butter and beat to mix well. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt and add to the butter mixture, beating until just incorporated. Do not overmix. Using a spoon, stir in the white or milk chocolate chips.

Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and use a flat metal spatula or a butter knife to smooth the top. Bake the blondies for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is dry and golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out with just a few crumbs attached (not wet, but not perfectly dry). Remove the pan from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Cut the blondies into 2-inch squares. The blondies can be stored, well wrapped, at room temperature for up to 3 days (these seem to get better as they sit) or frozen for up to 2 months (thaw before serving)
