I now sprinkle Nektar Honey Crystals on my turkey. These crystals have the wonderful taste of honey with the convenience of cane sugar. The crystals are easy to sprinkle over my turkey before baking and they form into a sweet delicious crunchy glaze.. Nektar Honey Crystals are made from real honey and cane sugar and are also great for baking, drinks, oatmeal, and more. I love them as they do not crystallize into a sticky mess like real honey. I don't have to struggle to get it out of a bottle either. The honey crystals come in a easy to pour bottle and measuring is so simple too. Unlike real honey, none gets left in the measuring cup.

Green Chile and Honey Basted Turkey
Ingredients
one turkey, thawed
1 stick butter, cut in small cubes
salt and pepper to taste
1-2 cups diced green chile, canned or thawed frozen
6 ounce bottle of Nektar Honey Crystals
Oven 350 F
Prepare your turkey for the oven by slicing small incisions all over the turkey. Stick the butter cubes into these incisions. Then sprinkle salt and pepper all over the turkey. Place turkey into pan and cover with foil. Bake the turkey according to the chart below. About 1 hour before turkey is done, uncover the turkey and rub the green chile all over it. Then sprinkle the Nektar Honey Crystals over the turkey. Place the turkey back in the over without foil and bake for an hour. I also like to use a thermometer when cooking my turkey and it should reach 165 degrees when stuck between the breast and leg.
