So my husband and teen installed the vanity and top along with the fixtures that day along with hanging the curtains back up. I was able to do some painting in the bathroom on the middle shower wall that had some work done on it the day before. The tile guy came the next day (Saturday) to install the last eight tiles as well as fix two tiles that came loose due to water getting under them from the guy who corrected the issue on the middle shower wall. It felt so good to thank the tile guy that day for completing his work.
The tile guy completed his work by noon so the boys and I were able to do more work that day. Our wonderful friend gave us some wood for the baseboards and lent us tools also. So my husband cut the wood, I painted them a beautiful turquoise, and then hubby installed them. Then the boys installed the shower door. That took quite some time as the frame needed to be cut. Also, in my husband's words, it was a pain in the but to drill the holes in the tile for the frame.
I had to run to the hardware store to get him a couple more drill bits for the project. I had been to that store so many times that the cashier and I were almost on a first-name basis. My teen was learning so much from helping his dad. He was also learning the frustration of a leaky sink. Since the new vanity was taller, they were having trouble installing the new pipes for the sink.
I woke up Sunday and checked the sinks for leaks and they both had some. So I took the younger boys to church with me and left my husband and teen to do more work on the bathroom. They finished installing the shower and installed the toilet.
I came home from church and was sent on another trip to the hardware store to get some more items. When I got back, I did some touch-up painting while my husband tried to fix the leaky sink problem. He was able to get one sink fixed but not the other. So I told him to just turn off the water, as it was almost bedtime, and work on it another day. The bathroom is almost done! I just need to put items back into the vanity and on the bookshelf. My husband also needs to fix the leak on the one sink. That might take a while but at least the major work is done. I just have to wait a couple more days to take a shower so the silicone can dry.
Here is what the bathroom looks like now. I can't wait to show you more pictures. I will post those when I get everything back in the bathroom. The bookshelf looks cluttered for now as I am still deciding how to arrange things on there. I will be putting towels on the bottom shelf and adding more baskets too.
Do you have any ideas for storage on this shelf? I am thinking of a large glass jar for bars of soap. I would love to hear some ideas that you have.
Bathroom renovation can transform a dated space into a modern oasis of relaxation and functionality. One popular upgrade is the installation of a frameless shower door, which not only adds a sleek and contemporary look but also makes the bathroom appear more spacious. This type of shower door eliminates the bulky frames of traditional models, offering a clean and minimalist aesthetic that enhances the overall design of the bathroom.

It's coming along nicely. I love those dragonflies! Maybe different sizes for the soaps to be placed in and in glass containers/vases for that shelf would look good.

Scented candles with different shades and scents can make that a stunningly perfect shelf for your bathroom.
