Pete’s Dragon Is A Must See Family Movie

My youngest son and I were able to attend a press showing of Pete's Dragon the other night in Albuquerque and Loved IT!

This movie had my attention the whole time as it was that good. I just loved the reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, “Pete’s Dragon” which is about the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon. The boy who plays Pete (Oakes Fegley) stole my heart right away and Elliot the big green dragon delighted my son. We both really enjoyed this movie and are anxious to see it again with his older brothers and dad.

I am not going to spoil the movie for you so I will just tell you some information about the movie. Trust me you have to go watch this movie with your kids as they will enjoy it. My son's review of the movie was " I loved it!"

Here is my review:
A tragedy leaves Pete lost in the woods without his family. A big green dragon(Elliott) becomes his friend and keeps him safe in the woods for many years. These years are spent with fun and adventure until one day when Pete is discovered in the woods by a kind lady. Pete then realizes it is time to say goodbye to his big green dragon friend and join a real family.

SYNOPSIS:
A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

My son and I just loved the animation in this movie. The dragon seemed so real to us and we felt like we were in the forest with Pete and Elliott. Just watch the Trailer to learn more.
