+ Contains Collagen

+ Great For Healthy Skin, Hair, Nails, and Joints

+ Helps With Inflammation

The Tropical Anti-inflammatory Overnight Oats recipe gets its joint and skin health benefits from some amazing supplements that contain turmeric and collagen. So think beyond Golden Milk Lattes and collagen in coffee. I am going to show you a new way to incorporate collagen and turmeric supplements into your meals with flavored supplements from Youtheory.

+ Tropical Turmeric Powder ~ Healthy joints and more

+ Vanilla Collagen Powder ~ Healthy hair, skin, and nails

I met Youtheory last month at Expo West and they sent me a bunch of collagen and turmeric supplements to try. I was excited to see that the turmeric powder was flavored with a fruity tropical taste. This sweet-tasting turmeric supplement was great to add to my morning smoothies and more. It made turmeric supplementation an enjoyable experience.

If you have used turmeric powder before, you know all about the sharp taste of turmeric. I used to only use turmeric in savory recipes like Turmeric Cinnamon Roasted Cauliflower. Occasionally, I would drink golden milk turmeric lattes but for the most part, my turmeric powder would go unused. Instead, I would use turmeric capsules for inflammation. So I am glad that I discovered Tropical Turmeric powder from Youtheory.

Youtheory also sent me vanilla flavor collagen. This delicious collagen is great to stir in coffee and into oatmeal. The vanilla collagen gives the overnight oats some amazing skin, hair, and nail benefits. You may not think that you need collagen in your diet but this supplement is beneficial at any age. Collagen is a major structural protein in the human body (found in skin, joints, bones, blood vessels, and connective tissues). As we age, collagen naturally breaks down and diminishes over time – leading to the early signs of aging. Youtheory Collagen Powder is designed to help counteract age-related collagen loss in a delicious powder.

Splendid Spoon Healthy Plant Based Meals Are Allergy Friendly Meals

When you have food allergies, you have to always know what is in your food

I have several food allergies and the main one is dairy. This past month my dairy allergy became life-threatening. I never thought that I would have to worry about my dairy allergy becoming severe enough. Before this food allergy scare, consuming dairy would give me side effects like increased mucus production that led to an annoying cough and a slight breathing issue. I was able to cough the mucus up.

Then a couple of weeks ago, I was cutting up fresh jalapenos and I forgot to wear gloves. Nobody told me about wearing gloves. My hands were on fire and washing my hands was not helping. I searched online for ways to stop the burn from the jalapenos. The first method was soaking your hands in milk, so I kept reading to see other methods that would help stop the jalapeno burn. I tried every method but not one of them help with the burn that I was experiencing on my hands. So I took a shower, as the cold water soothed my hands. After my shower, my hands were still on fire. So I gave in and dipped my hands in a bowl of milk.

I thought to myself that I would be ok since I was not drinking the milk. Then I went to bed with my hands holding ice packs. An hour later, I woke up gasping for air, I could not breathe. My husband woke up and I told him that I could not breathe. I was scared and I went downstairs to get my phone, to call 911. As I was walking downstairs to get my natural inhaler, I was wheezing and it felt like someone was choking me. Thankfully the walking allowed me to take a small breath. I got my inhaler and tried my best to inhale the essential oils that help open my airways. Then I was able to cough up all the mucus from my body. I took a Benadryl and slept sitting up on the couch that night. My husband stayed near my side all night.

A life-threatening allergy means that I always read food labels

That night my dairy allergy became life-threatening and it scared me to know that I could have died from dipping my hands in milk. I could no longer manage my asthma naturally and now carry Benadryl with me always. I also will be making an appointment with an allergist and asthma doctor. That night made me realize that I need to read food labels and question what is in the food before I take a bite.

That is why I like ordering plant-based meals from Splendid Spoon. When I order healthy ready to eat plant-based meals from Splendid Spoon, I know what is in my foods. Gluten Free Berry Beet Protein Pancakes With Nuzest Coupon Code

Do you think that smoothies are the only way to use protein powder? Think again as these delicious berry beet pancakes are made with the best vegan protein powder. They are loaded with protein and are so nutritious.

I follow a mostly plant-based diet for many reasons. The main reason that I choose to eat a vegan diet is due to several food allergies with dairy being a huge allergen to me. I discovered my dairy allergy through a food elimination diet and a food allergy blood test. I did this food allergy testing after my asthma symptoms became severe. What I thought was a milk lactose issue was really a dairy allergy. So I have to be extremely careful with what I eat as one bite of dairy products can put my body into a severe asthma attack that can take several days for my body to heal.

My other food allergies are soy protein and mushrooms. Many people have a hard time understanding that I am allergic to mushrooms but when I eat them, my nose starts dripping and I develop my asthmatic cough. I am allergic to mold and mushrooms are basically mold. It was mold that caused me to have bad eczema as a kid. My eczema would be worse in the winter when my mom would use the humidifier. Once I moved out of the house, my skin cleared up. So make sure to clean your humidifier often.

Beets are loaded with nutrition and so energizing

So now that I am older and wiser about my food allergies, I follow a plant-based diet to not only avoid my food allergies but also meat. Think about it, animals are fed soy protein and then that soy is in the meat and eggs. I am not sure what animals eat mushrooms but again if an animal eats mushrooms then it can affect me. So that is why I only eat fish and eggs on occasion. I have so many other airborne asthma triggers that I can't always avoid so keeping my diet clean helps my asthma. I don't wait to experience the side effects of prescription asthma medications so by avoiding my asthma triggers, I can manage my asthma with a natural asthma supplement.

So being that I don't eat meat, I supplement my diet with a vegan protein powder. I love making smoothies with a plant-based protein powder as smoothies are a great way to get a whole bunch of nutrition into your diet. I can then add fruits and veggies along with supplements to my morning smoothie. I love adding green and red powders to my smoothies for superfoods. My favorite red powder that I have been enjoying in my smoothie has been beet powder. Beets are so nutritious and energizing! They also add a pretty color to my smoothie.

So while I was drinking my wild berry beet smoothie the other morning, the berry flavor comes from my Nuzest Wild Strawberry protein, I thought that beets would make a delicious protein pancake. My kids love my vegan chocolate protein pancakes so I had to make these healthy Berry Beet protein pancakes for breakfast. I had a gluten-free pancake mix in my pantry so it was so easy to add my favorite strawberry protein powder and beet powder to the pancake mix. You can make your pancakes from scratch if you prefer. I included a recipe for gluten-free pancakes below. You can also substitute white flour for the gluten-free flour if you don't follow a gluten-free diet. The beet powder adds awesome nutrition and color to the pancakes but not any beet taste. The pancakes have a nice berry taste, thanks to the wild strawberry plant-based protein powder.

Pancakes can be a healthy food

Adding protein powder and other superfoods to pancakes is a great way to add nutrition to your diet. When you think of pancakes, you think of a stack of sugary carb-loaded cakes with no nutrition. Pancakes used to be my favorite breakfast item as a kid, especially when we ate at the pancake restaurant. Now I can't order pancakes at a restaurant as they have milk in them. So I only enjoy pancakes at home.

The pancake batter starts out a nice dark pink color but then bakes up to look like a chocolate pancake. The best part is they taste so good with a nice berry flavor.

I remember back when I was a kid and I would order the strawberry pancakes at the pancake place. The pancakes would have strawberries and plenty of whip cream. Then I would add tons of strawberry syrup. All that sugar and milk products were probably the reason I had a stomach later that day. I look back at my diet as a kid and can see why I was sick all the time. Now I am the opposite as a mom and I strive to feed my kids and myself a healthy diet. So I make my kids healthy versions of their favorite foods. I also make allergy-friendly recipes so I can enjoy things like pancakes.

The Best Cookware For Pancakes

I have been focusing on healthy eating for a long time and lately, I have been trying to get toxic chemicals out of my life. I have done my research on cooking in Teflon and decided it was time to replace my pans with safer cookware. Back when non-stick pans became popular, it was all about getting all fats out of your diet. Now research shows that healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil are good for you. So back in the 80's we replaced good fats with the toxic chemicals of non-stick pans.

Now that I know the dangers of non-stick pans, I am using Surgical Grade Stainless Steel fry pans for my cooking. I just add olive oil to my pan before cooking and my food does not stick. The trick to cooking with stainless steel pans is knowing when to add the food to the pan. I am glad that I made the switch to these stainless steel pans.
