My current beauty routine

 My beauty routine starts early in the morning. I wake up around 6 AM and use my NIRA Facial Laser before I head outside to run. After my 5-mile run, I nourish my body with a plant-based protein shake that I added flaxseed to. I then apply serum and moisturizer to my face.

 What is LED therapy?

LED technology has been around for quite some time. LED lights were developed by NASA for the purpose of growing plants in space. Today LED lights are being used for different uses, one being skincare. 

 Research has shown that certain wavelengths of LED lights can minimize the signs of aging by penetrating the skin's layers. It is the red and near-infrared light that encourages collagen and elastin production in the fibroblast cells to see a reduction in your fine lines and wrinkles.

Is LED light safe?

When CurrentBody Skin approached me with an offer to review their LED Light face mask, I did some research before saying yes. My first question was is LED light safe to use on my face? 

LED is incredibly safe to use on almost all skin types and ages. And if there are any LED therapy side effects, they’d usually only happen if you have a photosensitivity disorder. The side effects that you might experience from LED therapy are burning or redness.

How do I use the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask?

The LED Red Light face mask is simple to use. You put the mask on your face and the lights do the rest. The face mask is comfortable to wear and I was able to do other things like watch TV while I was doing the LED beauty treatment.

How long do I wear the Red Light Therapy Face Mask?

Each LED facial treatment takes 10 minutes to complete and it is recommended that one uses the mask 3-5 times a week. The beauty face mask even turns off after 10 minutes. I liked that I did not have to watch the clock or listen for beeps during my facial treatment. Since the facial device shut off automatically, I could choose to relax or work on my computer while wearing the face mask.

Does the Face Mask LED Treatment Hurt?

 I did not experience any pain from the LED lights and the face mask was comfortable to wear. The mask had an adjustable strap, so the mask fit me perfectly. The included eye inserts helped with the bright light that emitted from the inside of the mask. 

How long does it take to see results?

CurrentBody Skin mentions that you can see a 24% reduction in wrinkles and 20% firmer skin in just 4 weeks. With continued use at 3-5 times a week, you will continue to see improvement in your skin as your skin builds more collagen and elasticity.

My initial thoughts about the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask

When the face mask arrived, I made a commitment to use the skin care treatment for the recommended time of 3-5 days a week for a month. I put aside my NIRA facial laser device and I also took a couple of before photos of my face. 

 The first time that I used the face mask, I decided to try to work on my computer, looking at emails, to help pass the time. I did not use the eye inserts the first time that I turned on the lights on the mask and the bright lights annoyed me. So I quickly inserted the eyepieces and I then could not see the lights shining from the inside of the mask. 

 Since the lights do not give off heat, I did not experience any pain during my 10-minute LED Light Treatment. The mask was comfortable to wear. I decided to do my face treatments every morning while I was making my coffee and breakfast. I like that I could move around while wearing the face mask.

Step One ~ Foot Peel Mask

The foot peel treatment can take 2 weeks, and you might have some ugly-looking feet during the treatment, but the end result is so worth it. If you have extremely dry skin or chronic dry feet, you may have to repeat the foot peel mask 1 to 2 more times to get all the dead skin off. So buy the 4 pack of foot peel masks. I had to do 3 separate foot mask treatments to get all the dry skin off my feet.

Foot peel mask tips

+ Leave the foot peel mask on for 2 hours: The instructions say to leave the foot peel on for 1 hour but I have had better results with leaving it on for 2 hours. I did not experience any bad side effects.

+ Soak your feet every day: After you do the foot peel, make sure to soak your feet in warm water for 30 minutes a day for 1-2 weeks. This will help the skin peel better. I love using a massaging foot bath.

+ Do not use lotion on your feet: While you are going through the foot peel treatment process, do not use lotion on your feet. This will slow down the process. Your feet may feel tight and dry but that is part of the foot peeling process. Soaking your feet in water will help with that.

+ Wear socks and shoes when outside the home: Your feet are going to look ugly as the dry skin starts peeling off. So wear socks and shoes to avoid having to explain your feet to people.

What is Red Light Therapy?

When Will I See Results?

 The included pamphlet said, "Most users of the Red Light Therapy Wand see results within 2-4 weeks."  I will make sure to take before and after photos, so I can compare the differences in my skin.

How Often Do I Use The Red Light Therapy Wand?

Solawave recommends using the wand for 3 minutes per each section of your face. These facial sections include the cheeks, under eyes, forehead, and neck. 

My Initial Thoughts of the Solawave Radiant Renewal Wand

When I received the Solawave 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Wand, I was happy that this facial device was small and lightweight. That would make it easy to take it with me when I travel. It even comes with a special travel case.  

 I also like that it is rechargeable through a charging cable that I can plug into a USB charger. I am not too thrilled that the charging cable is not a standard USB cord and has a specialized attachment. If I misplace the charging cord, I will not be able to recharge my wand and I will have to buy a new one.

The Red Light wand looks easy to use. I just have to apply the serum on my face and move the wand across each area on my face for 3 minutes. The wand's vibration will turn off after 3 minutes, so I won't have to watch the clock. 

I can't wait to see the results
