Nine Healthy Things To Keep The Wrinkles Away

Try to guess my age

I received samples from Mychelle, Vitacup, SunsafeRx, and Broc Sprout to facilitate this post.

People are always amazed when I tell them my age. They sometimes don't believe me when I tell them my age and always say "you must have good genes." I then think to myself, that I look so much younger than my age because of my healthy habits and a few natural products that I use on a daily basis. I have discovered some amazing anti-aging products that have been helping to make those fine lines less noticeable. So sit back and read this article as it has some good information for keeping your body and skin young-looking. Just keep in mind that I am not a doctor and these are just natural things that I do and use to stay young-looking. These healthy tips and products have worked for me to keep the wrinkles away. I will also reveal my age later on so keep reading to see if you were able to guess my age.

1. I use non-toxic cruelty-free products
I used to think that I had to use chemical-based harsh beauty products to have young-looking skin and I would buy products that made claims to reduce the fine lines in days. I am not sure if they worked or not. Since I am trying to eliminate toxic chemicals from my life, I decided to switch out my beauty products, including what I apply to my face, for healthier products. Sure, I was worried that once I started using products that were better for me, those fine lines would start appearing. I was surprised that I was wrong and I was happy to discover that Retinal was a safe product to use on my face and could promote healthy skin renewal to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles on my face. One product that I have been using is made by MyChelle and this serum has Vitamin A—plus Ceramide 3 and Orange Plant Stem Cells in it which also helps with skin discoloration. I like that all products made by MyChelle are Dermatologist and Allergy tested. I use many products from the MyChelle skincare line as I like the natural ingredients in them. My favorite products are their mineral-based coconut Sun Shield and tinted Sun Shield.

All MyChelle products are Vegetarian, Cruelty-free, and Free of Phthalates, Parabens, Sulfates, Ureas, Artificial Fragrances and Colors, Petroleum, GMOs, and Gluten.

2. Matcha green tea is the Magic Elixir for your face and body
I discovered matcha green tea several years ago and I love the many benefits of this powder, including my younger looking skin. I add a 1/2 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder to my daily smoothie as this mild tasting powder is made from green tea leaves. Green tea has many health benefits that include healthy skin. One teaspoon of matcha is equal to 10 cups of green tea and loaded with antioxidants that help protect the skin against free radicals that cause sun damage, age spots, dry skin, and yes, wrinkles. Matcha green tea powder can also help with your metabolism. The matcha green tea powder also gives my brain some much-needed thinking power in the morning. That is a plus for me as I am not a morning person. I also enjoy my daily matcha in a delicious green tea latte. Head HERE to get the delicious recipe.

3. Collagen is great for healthy skin and a healthy body
As one gets older their body needs more collagen as our body’s own collagen synthesis declines. This supplement supports skin, hair, nail health, and also joint health. Collagen can promote firm and smooth skin as well as keeping joint cartilage healthy. So I take a collagen supplement daily so I can keep running as that helps keep my body young. I also get some amazing skin benefits from the collagen at the same time. So this is a win-win product for me.

Gourmet coffee with a beauty booster

This delicious infused coffee makes taking collagen so easy. I love that VitaCup Beauty Blend comes in recyclable Keurig® compatible pods or bags so mom has options on how she can brew her coffee. The coffee is expertly infused with ingredients selected for the health of skin, hair, and nails. Just look at the superfoods ingredients and their benefits:

Cinnamon
Sweet and powerful, this super-spice delivers beloved antioxidants, which support in the fight against free radicals

VitaCup has many other delicious blends of coffee that are infused with other health benefits.

4. Antioxidants are great for overall health
About two years ago I discovered Astaxanthin at a blogger conference. I initially decided to give this carotenoid pigment that occurs in shrimp a chance as I discovered that it could help with endurance. After using this red nutrient that is loaded with antioxidants, for 30 days, I was able to increase my speed with running. So I continue to add this amazing endurance supplement to my daily supplements. After a couple of months, I noticed that my skin looked healthier so I did some research on Natural Astaxanthin and discovered that this powerful antioxidant has other health benefits such as skin health, anti-aging, muscle endurance and recovery, and eye health.

5. Exercise is always good
By now most people know the benefits of exercise for a healthy heart but that same healthy habit is also good for younger looking skin as well as keeping your body younger feeling. The problem is most people, including me, don't like to exercise and we all make excuses. So when you feel like skipping your daily exercise, just remember that it may be the secret for looking younger. Sweating is healthy and is also great for your skin as it helps detoxify the skin. So moms listen up and start exercising with these workout tips for stay at home moms.

6.  Sleep is important for maintaining healthy skin and body
Sleep is a time for the body to rest and repair. It is amazing what sleep can do for our body and one knows the side effects when we don't get enough sleep such as not being able to think, dark circles under our eyes, and other things. So sleep really is good for our beauty. Mom was right we do need our beauty rest. Most people need 6-8 hours of sleep to help the body feel healthy. Sleep helps your body to recharge which is beneficial to skin health. It may be hard for you to fall asleep so you may avoid sleep but these Ten Tips To Get A Better Night Of Sleep may help you have healthy younger looking skin.

7. Healthy food is the basis for overall beauty
What we eat can also affect the health of our body and skin. Our skin needs healthy food to look good. Healthy food contains vitamins and minerals that can keep our skin healthy and soft. Check out this WebMD slideshow of healthy foods that contain skin care nutrients to help your skin stay healthy from the inside out.

8. Water helps keep skin young
Water benefits your skin and your body. The sad thing is most people do not drink enough water. So how does water benefit your skin? Water keeps your skin moist and that makes fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable. Water also helps your cells take in nutrients and get rid of toxins from your body. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day or more if you are active or sweating. You will be happy to know that the water in fruits, veggies, juice, and milk counts toward your total daily water intake.

9. Be sun safe
Studies show that 80-90% of how young or old you look for your age is due to sun exposure. So being wise around the sun is always a good thing. Make sure to apply mineral based sunscreen before you head outdoors, even in the winter. For extra sun protection, there is a revolutionary pill that you take orally that protects your skin and eyes from UV rays. SunsafeRx is healthy and natural. Clinical research shows it's effective. This amazing pill is made from all-natural ingredients and fights free-radical damage throughout your whole body. I take this pill daily and to me, it gives me some extra anti-aging support in addition to wearing sunscreen.

Bonus tip
I am discovering this supplement that has the power of broccoli in two easy to take capsules. This supplement has the power of broccoli sprouts and Sulforaphane. This supplement is loaded with antioxidants which are great for healthy cells and since our skin is made of cells that may help keep our skin young looking. This is a new supplement to me so I have not used it for long enough to see any results. So head over to HERE to find out more about this powerful supplement.

So now time for my age reveal. How old do you think I am? I am 53 years young.

So helpful! I’ve been using retinol since I was 22 and not just as a preventative measure of unwanted wrinkles... it actually helps me manage my acne! I still us it from time to time to keep my acne in check, but it is such a miracle cream. I love all your tips to keeping skin/hair healthy and young! And I’m all about the supplements!

Yes #6!!! I think sleep is something that is put on the back burner far too often. It is essential for our bodies to repair themselves. Lose your sleep and your age will show for sure!
