My Favorite Allergy Travel Food Giveaway

Looking for delicious allergy-friendly food options for traveling? Keep reading to find out my favorite allergy-friendly food that I always pack when I am traveling. Also discover a giveaway to win 2 boxes of one of my favorite travel snacks.

Last week, I traveled by train to visit family and attend a Food Allergy conference. My train ride was a 26-hour trip from Albuquerque to Chicago. Since the train ride was long, I needed to pack food for the journey. As a person with food allergies, packing food is just something I do a lot. Buying food on the train is just not an option for someone with multiple food allergies.

So what does one pack for a long ride on a train for healthy allergy-friendly meals?

Since I don’t have a way to keep my food cold or a way to cook my food, I have to be creative in food packing. While snacks are ok for travel, I also want food options for complete meals.

Huel Complete Nutrition Plant-Based Meals

Snack foods can be tasty, but they don’t always satisfy me like a meal does. Huel has several complete plant-based meal options that are so easy to take on a trip. From ready-to-drink meals to meal bowl options that only need hot water, Huel is a complete meal that is loaded with plant-based protein, healthy carbs, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

The ready-to-drink meals come in many delicious flavors, and some flavors have added coffee. I like the salted caramel coffee drink along with an apple for my breakfast. I get coffee and protein in one delicious meal with 23 grams of protein. That means I get a meal with energy for my brain to get some work done on the train.

For lunch, I like to make a coconut curry Huel meal bowl. I simply pour the pouch of the plant-based meal into a travel food container and add hot water. The cafe car is happy to give me hot water. I could also bring hot water in a stainless steel water bottle.

In 5 minutes, I have a delicious, hearty plant-based meal that is also gluten-free. These delicious meals are loaded with protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. The Huel meals are available in many delicious options, like Mexican Chili and Mac and Cheese.

Nugo Nutrition Bars for healthy snacks or meals

When I crave something sweet on the train, I reach for my favorite flavor of Nugo Bars. Sometimes it may be Double Salted Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Pretzel.

These snack bars are loaded with healthy ingredients but taste like a candy bar. They are also gluten-free and loaded with plant-based protein. Sometimes I may also enjoy a Nugo Bar for a meal with a piece of fruit. My favorite way to enjoy Nugo Bars is with a cup of coffee.

Nugo Bars come in so many delicious flavors, which makes shopping for them hard. The best way to try Nugo Bars is with this special 50% off deal.

Get a variety box of 12 Nugo Bars for $15 with free shipping

The best way to enjoy coffee on a train

When I travel, I like to enjoy a hot cup of coffee while looking out the window. One thing I never do is buy coffee on the train, as it does not have a good flavor. Plus it is expensive.

So I pack several Purity Coffee Sachets in my travel bag along with my favorite travel coffee mug. I then ask for hot water in the train cafe car.

Purity Coffee sachets are like a tea bag but filled with the best organic mold-free coffee. I simply dunk the Purity sachet into my hot water, and in 5 minutes, I have a rich, bold cup of hot coffee.

I like Purity coffee as it is crafted for health and loaded with antioxidants. Purity sources its coffee from the best coffee farms, and it shows in the flavor. I really love that Purity 3rd-party tests their coffee to make sure it does not contain mold or pesticides.

Purity sells the best coffee in many different roasts and package sizes: from 12-ounce packages of whole bean to ground to even 5-pound packages. Purity even has 4-ounce packages, so you can find your favorite Purity Coffee blend.

You have to give Purity Coffee a try. Use my code MOMKNOWSBEST to save 20% on any package of Purity coffee.

CSB Teen Study Bible Is The Best College Item For Teens ~ Giveaway

Many thanks to Lifeway Christian Resources for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

College life can be a time when kids start questioning their faith. For some students, college can lead them to grow deeper in their Christian faith, while others walk away from their church life. As a mom, you need to equip them with things that will keep them strong in their faith.

Things like helping them find a local church, a campus ministry, and a study bible that is made for teens are what helped my boys stay strong in their faith.

This year, I have 2 boys attending college, thankfully at the same college campus. One is a freshman, and the other is a sophomore. We drove 8 hours last month to drop the boys off at college, and it was tough saying goodbye. My 2 youngest sons have grown up, and the house is quiet.

CSB Teen Study Bible Is The Best College Item For Teens

As a parent, it can be tough dropping your child off at college. You may worry about many things when it comes to not having your child at home. After raising 5 kids, I have learned over the years, when worry sets in, prayer needs to start.

One of the best things that I did when I dropped my boys off at college was to attend a church service with them at a local church and give them a bible that is designed for teens. Thankfully, my older son got connected to a church during his first year of college. I loved that we were able to meet the pastor of his church.

About the CSB Teen Study Bible

Get your college students excited about God’s Word with a Bible that meets them where they are in today’s cultural context. Teens crave authenticity and answers, and this Bible delivers. The CSB Teen Study Bible will help teens stay resilient in their faith and is the perfect gift for every college student.

Students are growing up in a world in which AI and social media parade as truth. College life can make it tough for kids to keep following Christ. This Bible presents Scripture’s truth in a way that is easy to find for teens.

CSB Teen Study Bible

  + Features a unique Q&A-style study approach

+ Includes content written specifically for their generation

+ Devotionals for personal growth and topical articles on complex faith questions

+ The Bible equips students to connect Scripture to their everyday life

+ Is designed to help students go deeper in Bible study

  + Convenient, portable trim size

+ Order the new Teen Study Bible for the teens in your life!

Why the CSB Teen Study Bible needs to be in their dorm room

Take a moment to scroll on social media or watch the news, and you will quickly learn what your teens are being exposed to. When they were at home, you could have discussions with your kids, but not so much while they are at college.

Their faith will be challenged in many ways. We parents need to push back on this deconstruction by equipping our students to search God’s Word on their own, starting today. The CSB Teen Study Bible is designed to help teens stay in their faith.

Your job as a parent has changed, but you can still support your child through prayer, phone calls, texts, and care packages. Kids love receiving packages while at school. Send your teen the new Teen Study Bible straight to their dorm.

The Dead Sea Squirrels Fun Adventures Giveaway

Looking for a fun way to teach your children about core values? The Dead Sea Squirrels books are more than fun adventures. They help bring core values to life for the whole family.

Many thanks to Wander Creative for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

Many of you may remember listening to Veggie Tales. Listening to songs like ~ Where Is My Hairbrush? and The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.

As a mom of older kids, I have many fond memories of watching Veggie Tales movies with my kids. When the youngest two, now teenagers, were born, Veggie Tales were a thing of the past. My youngest missed the lessons that the Veggie Tales taught. They have no clue who Larry the Cucumber or Bob the Tomato are.

If I had to choose a favorite movie from the Veggie Tales, it would have to be Jonah and the Whale. I just love the lessons that came out of the Veggie Tales productions.

From the co-creator of VeggieTales comes The Dead Sea Squirrels

Mike Nawrocki, the co-creator of VeggieTales, co-founder of Big Idea Entertainment, and the longtime voice of Larry the Cucumber, has created a new children's series called The Dead Sea Squirrels.

The Dead Sea Squirrels books are a new way to help children connect with the Bible. These books present the life and teachings of Jesus through humor, memorable characters, and imaginative storytelling.

About the Dead Sea Squirrel Series:

The Dead Sea Squirrels follows 10-year-old Michael and Merle and Pearl, two squirrels who were preserved in Dead Sea salt for 2,000 years. After being brought back to Tennessee and unexpectedly revived, the squirrels use their firsthand knowledge of Jesus’ teachings to help Michael and his friends navigate modern-day challenges.

Check out the soundtrack from The Dead Sea Squirrels

The Dead Sea Squirrel soundtrack gives families a screen-free extension of the book series. The fun music gives families a new way to carry the faith-filled fun and biblical lessons of The Dead Sea Squirrels into everyday life, from car rides and school drop-off to playtime, family time, and church settings.

+ The soundtrack contains 22 sing-along songs about kindness, honesty, and self-control. Children will want to hear the music on repeat while parents will feel good about the lessons the songs reinforce.

+ Themes of the songs include kindness, diligence, honesty, mercy, self-control, overcoming worry, trusting God, Jesus’ birth, baptism, the Kingdom of God, the Last Supper, and the Resurrection.

+ The soundtrack brings together an impressive lineup of Christian music artists, including Matthew West, MercyMe’s Bart Millard, Katy Nichole, Ellie Holcomb, Mac Powell of Third Day, Steve Taylor and three-time GRAMMY Award winner Ashley Cleveland. The album also features Matthew Ward, Durell Comedy, Mike Nawrocki, Jenny Littleton, Mazzy Mason, Christopher Bailey, Aaron Armstrong, Rob Howard, Duncan Phillips, Henry O. Arnold, The Golden Hours and James Weir.

Mike Nawrocki (Series creator and voice of Merle Squirrel)

"I’m so excited for families to hear The Dead Sea Squirrels Season 1 soundtrack. The songs are fun and super catchy, but they also carry biblical lessons and themes that parents can feel good about. My hope is that kids will want to sing them again and again, and that the truths in the lyrics will stay with them long after the music stops.”

Steve Taylor (Animated series producer, performer and co-writer of “The Dead Sea Squirrels Theme Song”)

“One of the joys of The Dead Sea Squirrels has been making music for kids that never feels like an afterthought. We wanted every song to be funny, memorable and musically strong while still serving the story and the biblical truth at the heart of each episode. Having so many gifted friends lend their voices made the soundtrack even more special.”

Mozy Wrap Is a Parent Essential For Sporting Events ~ Giveaway

It may be summer, and the last thing on your mind is attending school sporting events. Time flies by when you are having fun, and fall will be here. The days of sitting outside in the cold, watching your child run while you freeze from the bleachers, will be here soon. This fall, be the parent who stays warm with a wearable thermal blanket. Discover more and have an opportunity to win a Mozy Wrap.

As a parent, you want your kid to participate in sports, but you were not prepared for the cold, freezing days watching them play. You do your best to dress warmly and may even pack a blanket, but the cold wind just rips through your clothes. You so wish that you could watch from the comfort of your warm car.

You may have even looked into buying a portable shelter tent for sports. You quickly abandoned that idea once you saw a mom struggling to pack the portable sports tent back into its carrying case. How are you going to keep warm this season?

Meet The Mozy Wrap

The Mozy Wrap is an essential for moms and dads on the move who juggle outdoor concerts, backyard hangouts, camping trips, hiking adventures, chilly nights on the sidelines, and long days spent cheering on their teens at games, tournaments, and after-school sports.

Designed as a wearable thermal wrap for your lower body, it delivers cozy warmth without restricting movement, so you can stay comfortable while walking the sidelines, setting up chairs, grilling, hiking trails, or gathering around the campsite or backyard fire pit. No wires or batteries are needed. Its patented thermal design helps trap and recirculate body heat, while the wind- and weather-resistant shell keeps you comfortable through shifting temperatures and evening chill.

The Mozy Wrap includes built-in pockets for essentials like your phone, keys, or remote—so you’re not constantly digging through bags between activities.

Lightweight yet durable, the Mozy Wrap comes in Black, Gray, and Navy, in Regular Adult and 2X/3X sizes. Available at getthemozy.com and Amazon.

About Mozy

Mozy's creator, Charlie, watched his mother shiver through countless games, unable to stay warm enough to enjoy watching her grandchildren play.

After witnessing her especially miserable moments on the sidelines - soaking wet from stadium seats, retreating to the car to run the heater, missing precious moments because of the bitter cold...

Charlie decided to put his thermodynamic and engineering background to work, creating a technical solution specifically designed to keep his mom comfortable and present for every cheer-worthy moment.

And that was the start of the wearable & weatherproof thermal wrap now known as Mozy!

Charlie's patented warmth technology uses the laws of heat transfer and thermodynamics to seal in your own body heat, no external heat sources or batteries required. It is scientifically proven to keep you 5X warmer than a stadium blanket.

More About The Mozy Wrap

~ Hands-Free Adjustable Warmth - The Mozy Wrap features adjustable velcro strips so you can get a perfect fit.

~ Lightweight - The adult size Mozys weigh in at just under 1.5 pounds. For reference, that's about the same as a standard pair of jeans.

~ Weatherproof - Mozy is weatherproof, meaning that it is windproof and water resistant to sit on any wet surface. However, Mozy is not waterproof! You cannot go swimming in Mozy.

~ Walking Mode - You can adjust the Mozy Wrap with the included fasteners, so you will be able to walk.

~ Plenty of storage - Mozy has two large pockets in front. Plenty of room to carry cell phones, mittens, wallets, and beverages. Plus, it comes with a carabiner clip to secure your keys!

Where I will be using the Mozy Wrap

My youngest just graduated from high school, so my days of attending sporting events are over. I will be using my Mozy Wrap at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta this October. This blanket will keep me warm while watching the hot air balloons.

I will be bringing this thermal blanket to my next family ski trip. Since I don't ski, I will be wearing this cozy wrap while watching my family ski. It will be me, my coffee, and Mozy Wrap.

Discover The NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition Bible ~ Giveaway

Write scripture on your heart for when you need it. For years, scientists have connected handwriting with improved learning. Discover a bible that will help you memorize scripture, along with a giveaway to win a copy of the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition bible.

Many thanks to Thomas Nelson Bibles/HCCP for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

Do you remember, as a child, memorizing scripture in Sunday school? Maybe you remember studying for spelling tests. From songs to repeating words to writing the words down, there are many methods to help people memorize things.

As a mom, I remember helping my children study for their spelling tests and having them write the words down on a piece of paper. I found that this memorization method helped them ace the spelling test.

Now that my children are grown, and I have more time, I have been reading my bible more. My favorite way to read the bible is with an online daily devotional site. The devotional site includes a small amount of scripture along with a personal story from a Christian writer, as well as insights into the bible verses. I find that this method of bible reading works for me, especially when it comes to remembering what I read.

“Therefore, you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth." Deuteronomy 11:18-21 NKJV

Discovering the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition Bible

Do you have trouble remembering what you read from your daily bible reading? Do you desire to memorize scripture? You need to discover the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition Bible.

Research has long shown that the physical act of handwriting strengthens retention and comprehension, and this New Testament puts that principle to work in your daily time with God. Whether used for personal devotion, a slower-paced Bible study, or as a thoughtful gift for a new or growing believer, the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition is an ideal choice for anyone who wants to go beyond reading and truly internalize the words of Scripture.

What I like about the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition Bible

The tracing bible has a unique look and offers more when it comes to reading the Word. I like the way the pages in the tracing Bible feel, and that you can trace the words. While some people may trace all the words, I think tracing bible verses that stand out would also be a good option.

My college kid saw the Tracing Bible and said that it was a cool Bible. My son loves drawing pictures while he studies and during his free time. I knew right away that he would enjoy this bible. So I told him that he could have it.

My son was excited to use the tracing bible. He then looked through his art supplies for gel pens to use while reading the bible.

One of the learning activities that my daughter does every summer is weekly trips to the library. The grandkids love checking out books for daily reading. From picture books for the baby to chapter books for the oldest, their book basket is always filled with a variety of books.

One of my daughter's summer reading goals for the two older girls is to develop daily bible study habits. So this grandma got the girls some Bible resources that were designed for kids.

Why I like the Explorer Bible Dictionary

When I received a copy of the Explorer Bible Dictionary, I knew that my granddaughters would be excited to read this book. I really liked the colorful pages in this book, which had 224 pages. I also loved how each page had different sections to make the learning easier. The different sections would be perfect for kids who have short attention spans.

As I was looking at this Bible dictionary for kids, I learned new things about Bible characters. I really loved looking at the maps that showed where they lived. This information was helping me better understand where these places are located.

I knew that this bible dictionary would be perfect for learning beyond Sunday school lessons at church and vacation Bible school. The book would help the girls learn more information about something they learned about in church.

As a mom of older children, from teens to adults, I have fond memories of my boys reading Captain Underpants and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My boys had to read every book in the series. Now that I have grandchildren, I am excited to introduce them to The Blobs: Volume Two, Attack of the Glitchies.

I am including both volumes one and two of The Blobs in their Easter Baskets. My oldest grandchild just started reading chapter books. These will be fun Christian graphic novels for bedtime stories. I just love the full-page illustrations in the books.

My daughter was a bookworm when she was a kid and has been reading chapter books to my granddaughters for quite some time. When she sees these books, it will bring back memories of the hours she spent reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid. If your kids are fans of Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Captain Underpants, they are going to love these books.

The Blobs: Volume Two releases April 7th. Order your copy today!

He Calls Me Daughter Movie Review ~ My Personal Story #Giveaway

Every heart longs for a father’s love: a love that’s steady, safe, and unconditional. No matter what your earthly father was like, you have a perfect heavenly Father who longs to show you how much He loves you.

Many thanks to He Calls Me Daughter for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

For many women, it can be hard to grasp God as a father figure, and this can have an impact on their relationship with God. The reasons are many for why these ladies struggle, but for most, it starts with not having a father in their life or having an abusive father.

The movie He Calls Me Daughter is made for women who struggle with the pain of not having an earthly father and the reality of what it has done to their relationship with their heavenly father. I am one of those ladies who has carried the pain of not having a father in my life, and I knew I had to see the movie He Calls Me Daughter.

About He Calls Me Daughter

From the award-winning director of the Kendrick Brothers’ documentary Show Me the Father, He Calls Me Daughter is a poignant exploration of father-daughter relationships and the lasting impact they have on a woman’s life. Through honest stories and thoughtful insight, the film examines the deep “father wound” many women carry. He Calls Me Daughter reveals how faith in Jesus Christ brings healing, transforms lives, and restores identity. A Heavenly Father changes everything!

He Calls Me Daughter is for women who have felt unseen, unsupported, or unsure of their worth. Through intimate, first-person stories, viewers follow women as they begin to name the pain they’ve carried for years: father wound. Audiences are invited to reflect on their own story as they walk alongside these women on a journey toward healing. HE CALLS ME DAUGHTER is an invitation to experience the love of a Father who does not withdraw - One who offers peace, belonging, and restoration.

My takeaways from the movie He Calls Me Daughter

As a daughter of a father who was not present in my life, I can relate to this movie. While listening to the various ladies share their stories of their non-exsistent dads or abusive fathers, their words brought up a past life that I have put behind me. I heard myself saying outloud, “Yep, that was me.”

While watching this movie, it was hard to hold back the tears from the pain of my childhood. As I got further into this movie, I was able to praise God that He brought people into my life when I was a teenager. This movie helped me understand the moments that I allowed God into my life and how he brought me out of the pain from my childhood.

While God brought me out of the pain, I still struggle with God as a father figure. I struggle with questions like - “Does God love me? Am I worthy of His love?

I knew that I had to watch this movie. This movie helped me realize that I am not alone and that there are many women out there struggling with seeing God as a father figure. By the time I finished watching this movie, I wanted the healing that these ladies received.

True healing isn’t found in earthly relationships, but in a relationship with our heavenly Father.

Favorite Snacks: NuGo Organic Bars #giveaway

Looking for a delicious, healthy gluten-free snack that is also dairy-free and soy-free? Look no further, as I have the perfect snack option for you.

My favorite healthy gluten-free snack that I always have on hand has got to be NuGo bars. I discovered NuGo bars several years ago at Expo West when they gave me a sample of their chocolate vegan protein powder.

I gave the protein powder sample to my teenager, as he was looking for a plant-based protein for his peanut butter smoothies. This boy is picky, and he did not like the allergy-friendly protein powder that I was using at the time. He said that this simple ingredient, protein powder, was not sweet enough for him.

My son tried the NuGo vegan protein powder and really liked the taste. So, I went to the NuGo website to buy him more, and that is when I discovered that NuGo had an ambassador program. I joined their program, and they sent me their variety box of NuGo Dark Chocolate Protein Bars.

Delicious Plant-Based Nutrition

NuGo Nutrition believes that the freshest, healthiest ingredients are also the best tasting. Twenty years ago, they set out to develop the first nutrition bars with “decadent taste, wholesome nutrition, and quality ingredients.” They are committed to keeping GMOs, artificial hormones, stomach-upsetting maltitol, and artificial sweeteners out of NuGo products.

You will love that all of NuGo Nutrition's products are gluten-free. Some are even dairy-free and soy-free. These protein bars are loaded with protein and nutrition.

Inside the variety box of NuGo Dark Chocolate Protein Bars, there was a selection of their most popular flavors. My teen son was happy to try all the different flavors. From a dark chocolate mint protein bar that tasted like a thin mint cookie to a dark chocolate pretzel protein bar to a brownie flavor, my son enjoyed these healthy bars for breakfast out the door.

After sampling all the different flavors of NuGo Bars, my son decided that the gluten-free dark chocolate pretzel protein bar was his favorite and asked me to buy more. While I was on the NuGo website, I checked out the other bar flavors, and I saw that they had a selection of organic bars.

The organic NuGo bars contained no soy protein. That was a plus for me, as I am allergic to soy protein. So I ordered a box of the NuGo organic NuGo bars. After seeing how much my son loved NuGo bars, I was excited to taste these protein bars.
