Easy To Make All Natural Homemade Weed Killer Spray That Works In A Day

Weeds can be annoying and unwanted in our yards. While store-bought weed sprays may kill the weeds, they are loaded with toxic ingredients that may cause cancer.  Conventional weed spray is harmful to our environment and our water sources. If you want to kill the weeds without toxic side effects, my homemade weed-killer spray works and is made with natural ingredients.

This all-natural weed killer is chemical-free and safe to use around pets and kids. This DIY weed spray kills the weeds within 24 hours! Keep reading to get the recipe for a natural, safe weed killer.

Spring is here, and so are the weeds. They say April showers bring May flowers, but it also brings tons of weeds! I hate weeds in my yard, and I hate pulling them. I also have seasonal allergies to weeds. So pulling them usually results in hives all over my body as well as asthma problems. Leaving the weeds in my yard is not a good thing either, as they can cause allergy problems. So just like you, I want the weeds in my yard gone.

One might think that the best option for killing the weeds is a conventional weed spray that you purchase at the store or paying someone to spray the weeds. These weed-killing options are not good.  Conventional weed killers are loaded with toxic chemical ingredients that are bad for the environment. The store-bought weed sprays may also have chemicals in them that can cause cancer.

I also do not like using chemical weed killer sprays since they have harmful effects on the environment. I use a natural, homemade weed killer that not only kills the weeds but is easy to make. My DIY weed spray contains 3 ingredients that you can easily find in the grocery store at a reasonable price. My homemade weed killer makes a whole gallon of weed spray for less than $5.

This weed spray is safe to spray around kids and pets. You also do not have to worry about breathing harmful toxins. It is the best DIY homemade safe weed spray that will not harm the water supply. If you are looking for an eco-friendly weed spray, this natural weed spray is the best.

Kills weeds quickly

When you apply a weed spray to kill the weeds, you want fast results. This homemade natural weed spray works quickly and the weeds are dead within 24 hours. For best results, spray the weeds on a sunny day. Also, make sure to check the weather forecast to make sure no rain is predicted for the next 24 hours. I like to spray the weeds with the safe weed spray in the morning, as this spray works best with full sun.

By the afternoon, most of the weeds are already drying up. This weed spray is powerful and will kill any plant, even grass. So do not spray the weed killer on your lawn or on plants you want to keep. The spray is perfect for the weeds on the driveway and sidewalks. I use the spray all over my yard as my yard is made up of rocks.

Ingredients needed
~ Vinegar
~ Salt
~ Dish Soap

Super easy to make

This weed spray is super easy to make. You simply pour the ingredients into a weed sprayer container and shake it up to combine. I like to use a big reusable weed sprayer to mix up the weed killer. I really like this 4-gallon backpack garden and lawn sprayer. You can also use a smaller 1-gallon weed sprayer.

Three-Ingredient Weed Spray Recipe!

Homemade Weed Killer
1-gallon vinegar
1/4 cup dish soap
2 cups regular table salt
weed sprayer container

Pour the salt into the empty weed sprayer container and then add the vinegar.  Make sure to leave room in the container for the dish soap. Place the lid on the container and shake the vinegar and salt together. Unscrew the lid of the container and add the dish soap. Place the lid on the container and shake up all the ingredients again.

Spray the weeds with the mixture, making sure to saturate the plant and the roots. Bigger weeds may need more spray than the smaller ones. It can take 24 hours for the weeds to die. Don't spray near plants you want to keep or on grass, as it will kill both. This spray needs the sun to work, so spray on a sunny day.

Spray directly on the weeds in the morning and let the spray stay on all day.

Works best with the full sun!

Here are the weeds before I sprayed them. I live in New Mexico, and we landscape with rocks. I have rocks instead of grass, as we live in the desert, so not much rain here to grow grass. The spray works best with the sun, so spray the weeds on a sunny day. I like to use a big reusable weed sprayer to mix up the weed killer. I really like this backpack garden and lawn sprayer.

Garden Tower 2 50-Plant Composting Container Garden

Needs only a day to see results!

This is what the weeds looked like after 24 hours. I like to use this weed spray on small weeds that are a pain to pull. For the larger ones, I just pull them. This weed spray is also great for weeds that grow along the sidewalk, as those are so hard to pull out.

Do you have persistent weeds?

The weeds here in the desert can be tough to fight, even with this natural weed killer. Some people think harsh chemical weed sprays are more effective at controlling weeds, but in reality, weeds come back every year regardless of the type of spray you use. I have seen the city spray the weeds along the roads with those toxic chemical sprays, and the weeds still grow back because the toxic weed sprays only kill the part of the weed that is showing.

This natural weed spray works in the same way, but there are no worries of toxic chemicals in your yard or water supply. When you use a natural, non-toxic weed killer, you don't have to worry about cancer-causing chemicals.

Spray and pull the weeds

The best way to fight the weeds without harsh chemicals is to spray them with this homemade weed killer spray. I will also pull the weeds. My yearly plan to combat those nasty weeds is to spend one morning spraying the weeds right before summer, usually Memorial Day weekend. I also pull the big weeds. Then my yard looks nice for the summer. I also decided to try something new last year in my yard for a section of weeds that kept coming back year after year. I laid down thick black plastic over the stubborn weeds and left it there for several months. I was surprised that the black plastic killed the weeds permanently. Read about the black plastic weed killer method HERE.

If Natural Deodorant Makes You Stink You Need To Detox

Give natural deodorant a second chance with an armpit detox.

Many of my friends are concerned about the aluminum and other toxic chemicals that are in regular antiperspirants and they want to use a natural deodorant. So they head to the store and buy the container of natural deodorant that smells good. They then try it and get frustrated that they still stink. My friends then go back to smearing toxic chemicals on their armpits as they don't want to be that stinky person in office/gym. I so understand the part about not wanting to stink but it frustrates me that my friend is trying so hard to get chemicals out of their body and then they use a product on their body that may cause breast cancer or worse Alzheimers. So I just wish that the companies that sell natural deodorant had instructions on their containers or at the website advising people to do an armpit detox first before they use natural deodorant for the first time.

Most people have a hard time giving up antiperspirants as they don't want to be that person who stinks.

What most people don't realize about antiperspirants is how they work. These toxic products have ingredients in them that block the sweat and all those years of sweat blocking with these harsh ingredients building up in your body. Your body sweats for a reason. So when you use a natural deodorant for the first time your body starts sweating all this smell junk out.

Here is a shortlist of the ingredients that are linked to problems:

Aluminum: It may be linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
Parabens: An endocrine disruptor that may interfere with our hormone production.
Phthalates: Another endocrine disruptor that may cause havoc in your body.
Propylene Glycol: A neurotoxin may be linked to kidney and liver damage.

The answer to the stinky sweat is a natural armpit detox!

Most people have no clue about what an armpit detox is. I have heard about this paste that you make and spread on your armpits to draw out smelly toxins from your pits but I had never tried one, until now. I figured that I should try it before I talk about it. When I switched to natural deodorant almost two years ago, after learning about the dangers of antiperspirants at Shiftcon conference, I never did the detox thing. I did experience some stink but since I work from home and it was wintertime, I did not sweat that much. So I guess I just naturally detoxed the stink out of my body. I know that many people work and don't want to stink so that is where an armpit detox comes into help with the stinky smell that needs to come out of the pits.

Shiftcon is great for learning and making connections

Since I knew so little about armpit detoxing but I want to help my friends in their chemical elimination process, I reached out to bloggers who attended Shiftcon and are further along in their green journey. Carolina from https://mamainstincts.com/ shared with me her homemade Armpit Detox recipe. I love that this recipe uses 2 natural ingredients that I already have in my kitchen,  bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Many of you may not have bentonite clay in your pantry but I do as this is the main ingredient in my son's homemade natural SLS free Lemon Drop toothpaste and it has many other uses in other recipes like a face mask. This armpit detox is so simple to make and to use. For the best transition to natural deodorant, I recommend starting this detox process and using a natural deodorant on a weekend when you are going to be home that way your body has two days to get the stink out.

Everyone’s body is different so there isn’t a set number of times you should detox.

Homemade Armpit Detox
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
Water (optional)

Don’t want to buy the full-size ingredients? Get a DIY kit that comes with the exact amount of ingredients you will need to make this DIY product.

Directions
1. In a small glass bowl mix the bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Make sure you use a wooden or plastic spoon – do not use a metal spoon since it affects the properties of the bentonite clay and the detox won't be as effective.*
2. Mix it well. It should look like a paste. It if doesn’t look like a paste after you mix it well, you can add a tiny bit of water until you get the consistency of paste.
3. Once it’s ready, spread the paste on your armpits and leave it on for 5-15 minutes. If this is your first time doing a detox, Carolina from Mama instincts suggests you start with 5 minutes. Carolina also says the paste should not burn or hurt but if it does rinse it off right away. She has left hers on for 20 minutes at a time with no pain.
4. Once the time is up, you can wash it off with a cloth or in the shower.
5. As always when doing any type of detox, make sure you drink plenty of water to help your body detox faster.

*The clay absorbs the metals (that’s how it draws out the toxins) and becomes less effective so if you use a metal spoon it will draw out the properties from the spoon.

How many times should you do a detox?

Carolina from Mama instincts says to repeat this detox until your armpits stop getting stinky.
This detox is safe enough to do daily, but she prefers to do it 2-3 times a week. You should notice an improvement soon after your first application. Everyone’s body is different, this is why there isn’t a set number of times you should detox, but if you pay close attention you’ll notice these changes and you’ll know you won’t have to detox anymore.

What is a good natural deodorant to use?

Just like we ladies use different shampoos for our hair, we may like different natural deodorant. One of the brands that I like is Crystal Mineral Deodorant as they have many types of natural deodorant in many wonderful scents. My favorite is the Lavender & White Tea Invisible Solid while my son loves the Pomegranate Roll-On. Crystal also carries a Mineral Stick + Stone and a Spray form. They have four wonderful scents and also unscented. The natural scents are made from essential oils and extracts.

Discover Crystal's New Invisible Solid Stick Deodorants

I have tried all the scents in the Crystal Mineral Roll-ons and they all smell amazing. None of the scents bother my allergies either. The Crystal Mineral Stone took a while for me to get used to and it does work to keep me odor-free. I keep the Crystal Stone in my shower and use it after my shower if I remember but I don't use it that much as I like scent in my armpits. So the Lavender & White Tea Invisible Solid is my go-to natural deodorant.

Discovering Natural Beauty With Mychelle Skincare Products

I love giving my skin a drink!

I received samples of the above skincare products.

I love discovering natural beauty products that keep my skin looking nice. My skin is always on the dry side as I live in the desert. The dry heat is cooler but it does a number on my skin. I wake up in the morning so thirsty and that first drink of water not only quenches my body but also does wonders for my skin. To give my dry skin more moisture I decided to try MyChelle's new
Ultra Hyaluronic System. I already use MyChelle Sun Care products, I love their tinted Sun Shield Liquid.

Giving my skin a drink with the Ultra Hyaluronic System

I love that these natural beauty products work together to my skin feel so soft, it was an easy four-step skin care routine that I enjoyed using. I started with the Ultra Hyaluronic Water Mask after I washed my face. This mask was light and made my skin tingle a bit but was refreshing at the same time. This mask had  Hyaluronic Acid, Blue Agave, and Prickly Pear Cactus in it to smooth and condition my dull dehydrated skin. After rinsing the mask off, I applied the Bio-Firm™ Hydrogel Concentrate. This one felt a bit sticky but quickly gave my skin a rosy look. This concentrate also had Hyaluronic Acid (the ingredient that hydrates the skin) and Plant Stem Cells & Crocus Chrysanthus Bulb Extract in it. I just love those natural plant ingredients!

I then applied the Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Cream for even more hydrating Hyaluronic Acid. This nourishing moisturizer had Plant Stem cells, Blue Lotus, Rose Petals, and Freshwater Algae in it! It made my skin feel soft and so healthy. I had to do a double take when I looked in the mirror as I could smile without fine lines showing around my eyes. My new friends are always surprised when I tell them I have a 28-year-old daughter and I am going to be a grandma soon. I see them doing the math in their heads and they find it hard to believe that I am 53!

The last product was an Ultra Hyaluronic Beauty Mist that I could use to instantly refresh and hydrate my skin in the morning or throughout the day. This mist had Cactus Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Citystem™ Plant Stem cells and Niacinamide in it. It really amazes me that natural ingredients can make my skin look so pretty.

Can A Natural Crystal Stone Keep My Armpits Dry?

Can a mineral deodorant stone keep me dry for 24 Hours?

I received a sample of a Crystal Mineral Stone.

I made the switch to natural deodorant about a year ago and I have tried many types of deodorant products. Some products have performed better than others and some products were a pain to use. I have tried sprays, creams, pastes, and roll-on deodorant. My least favorite was the paste deodorant as I had to stick my finger into a pot of goo and then rub into my armpits. Then I was left with paste on my fingers so I had to wash my hands, way too time-consuming for this busy mom! I finally settled on using a great scented solid natural deodorant that left me secretly smelling my armpits all day. So when a company asked me to try their Crystal Mineral Deodorant Stone,  I was hesitant as my current deodorant was working. I also thought that using a stone would be a pain as you had to have wet armpits.

Made without Aluminum Chloride/Chlorohydrate/Zirconium, Parabens, and Fragrance

One of the reasons I switched to natural deodorant was because of chemicals and aluminum. Studies show that aluminum can cause breast cancer and brain diseases and I did not want any of that. Especially after seeing my mother-in-law struggle and die from Alzheimer's. So I decided to try this Crystal stone after I read that one stone could last a whole year. My plan was to use it on the days I took a shower and that was every other day. I know that sounds nasty that I only shower every other day but I have dry skin issues. No, I do not stink and I wash myself at night with a wet washcloth.

It was so easy to use!

I take my showers at night time so I admit that I forgot to use the Mineral Stone after my first shower after receiving the product. So that morning when I got dressed for the day, I saw the stone in my shower and remembered that I did not use it. I was already dressed and I did not want to hop back in the shower so I grabbed the Crystal Stone from the dish in my shower. I then wet the Crystal Stone and applied it to my armpits. It went on so easy and only took a few seconds to dry. The only disappointment was it had no scent. So no armpit smelling for me.

I did not stink after the gym!

I then went out for a run and then to the gym to lift weights. It was a hot humid day and after my workout, I did smell my armpits but I was at home so no one saw me. I was surprised that my armpits did not stink of BO! As I am writing this it is about 12 hours since I applied the Crystal Stone and it has been a hot humid day. I am outside with the boys and trying to smell my armpits without my neighbors thinking I am strange. My armpits still smell clean! So I will be adding this Crystal Mineral Deodorant Stone to my armpits more often but I think I will store it near my sink so I remember to apply it in the morning.

Include Goddess Garden In Your Natural Summer Plans

Sponsored post: I am a Goddess Garden Brand Ambassador.  I have received both products, that I love using and compensation as part of this program. All opinions are my own.

My summer plans include an awesome natural sunscreen.

This summer is going to be a busy one for my family. We have a lot of exciting things planned for this summer. I have been quite busy lately just preparing for my summer plans and exciting events. I think my busy summer started last month with the graduation of my teenager. He is headed off to the Merchant Marine Academy later this month. Then I have a trip for a conference this month also. Next month my husband has several businesses trips and the following month, my daughter is having a baby. Our summer ends with a trip to visit my son at the Merchant Marine Academy. My head is just spinning from writing about all this. All of our summer plans will include time in the sun so I need to make sure to include my favorite natural mineral based sunscreen in my summer as I don't want sunburn in my summer plans.

That's my husband and me with our graduate. This was in May and it was already summer weather here in New Mexico. I am so proud of my son who graduated with many awards including being the salutatorian of his high school. The day of his graduation was a perfect day for Goddess Garden Organic Sunscreen. I love how this chemical-free sunscreen protects my skin from the sun without any of those bad ingredients like avobenzone.

Natural mineral sunscreens are immediately effective

My busy summer will also include trips to the pool with the younger boys. I love that I can apply Goddess Garden Kids Sunscreen on my boy's skin and they can jump in the water right away. Did you know that those chemical-based sunscreens can take 20 minutes to be effective? So what do most parents do? They apply those smelly chemical sunscreens at home before they arrive at the pool and then the car ride is just plain stink! I say no to smelly chemicals on my kid's skin. My boys love that this mineral sunscreen also comes in a spray can so they can get into the pool even faster.

Mineral sunscreens are great for sensitive skin.

My youngest takes after me and has sensitive skin. We can both use Goddess Garden and do not suffer from any rashes since natural minerals reflect the UV rays and aren’t absorbed into the skin, they are much less likely to cause irritation.  The main ingredient in Goddess Garden is Zinc Oxide which provides natural broad-spectrum protection from both UVB (burning) rays, as well as the UVA (aging and damaging) rays.

Even the new baby can be protected from the sun!

I love that Goddess Garden has a natural sunscreen that is made for babies. I made sure to give some to my daughter at her baby shower that was last month. One of the guests at the baby shower just had a baby and was happy to learn about this baby safe sunscreen. She asked me where she could buy the Baby Natural Sunscreen and I told her at stores like Walmart, Sprouts, and Walgreens. Go HERE to find Goddess Garden Organics in your local store.

Perfect for vacations.

My trip to a blogging conference, later this month is my mini vacation. Three days at a hotel all by myself is awesome. I always make time for swimming. I always include the Sport Goddess Garden Sunscreen in my carry-on and it is perfect for airline travel at 3.4 ounces, the maximum liquid allowance. I brought this natural mineral based sunscreen to my beach trip two years ago and I did not experience any sunburns.

I like having many options!

My favorite natural and organic sunscreen comes in many forms so everyone in the family can choose their favorite way to stay protected from the sun. I love using the Sunscreen Stick on my face as it is so convenient and mess-free. I keep a stick in my purse so I can use it on days that I forget to apply my sunscreen. My teen loves the Aloe Vera After-Sun Gel Spray for those times that he forgets that he will be out in the sun. He says that it does a great job of cooling the sunburn.

Which Goddess Garden product will you include in your summer plans?

Mineral Sunscreens are even safe for the reefs & environment.

Studies have shown common chemical sunscreens like octinoxate and oxybenzone are damaging the coral reefs. Hawaiian senators even introduced a ban on these chemical sunscreens in an effort to save the reefs. Because the minerals come from the earth, they can safely return there once your day in the sun is done.

Homemade Natural Lemon Drop Toothpaste

I love it when I can save money with homemade DIY products!

I received a sample of lemon extract which was perfect for this recipe.

Many years ago we discovered that my youngest son was allergic to ingredients that are in many brands of toothpaste. There are only a couple brands of natural toothpaste that my son can use and he only likes one of these brands, the expensive one. So I keep buying this lemon toothpaste as I want my son to brush his teeth. When I realized that I could make a homemade toothpaste that was similar to the one my son likes, I was so happy as that meant I could save money. I like saving money.

So how is one allergic to toothpaste?

It was a free sample of toothpaste that led to my discovery of my son's allergies. My son had painful mouth sores at an early and his doctor prescribed a mouthwash to help it feel better. The mouthwash for mouth sores was called magic mouthwash and it had to be applied frequently to his mouth sores to make them feel better. The cold sore mouthwash did not cure the sores in my sons mouth but just made them feel better. It seemed that my son always had a couple of red sores in his mouth and he was using a lot of the magic mouthwash on a daily basis.

I had no clue that the mouth sores caused by the ingredients in his toothpaste. When I received a sample of an all-natural toothpaste at a conference, I went to their website to check it out. It was there that I discovered that a common ingredient in toothpaste called SLS could be causing his mouth sores. SLS or sodium lauryl sulfate is an ingredient in many common toothpaste brands like Crest and Colgate. So I encourage my son to try the toothpaste for a week and the mouth sores went away. My son continued to brush his teeth with the natural toothpaste and his mouth felt so much better. I was glad that I discovered that my son's mouth sores were caused by an allergy to SLS. So my son no longer needed to use the cold sore mouth wash.

My son was also allergic to an ingredient in natural toothpaste.

When the sample of natural toothpaste ran out, I bought a different brand of natural toothpaste that did not have SLS in it. A week after using this natural toothpaste that did not have SLS, the mouth sores came back. So I did some more research into ingredients in toothpaste that could cause mouth sores and I discovered that the ingredient glycerin could be causing the mouth sores. So my son went back to using the other natural toothpaste that did not have any glycerin in it and the cold sores disappeared. I also later discovered that glycerin can be in chewing gum and candy. So now my son has learned to read ingredients before he has gum or candy.
sodium lauryl sulfate
Even mom loves the taste of this natural toothpaste!

Mom is tired of spending $7.00 on a tube of toothpaste.

When I received a sample of a lemon extract, I decided to make this natural toothpaste in hopes that my son would like the taste. I already had the other ingredients on hand as the bentonite clay is rich in magnesium, which we use for his growing pains. So I mixed up the homemade natural toothpaste in a small batch to see if my son liked it. I also made a small batch so it would stay free of bacteria. Once I discovered my son loved the taste of the lemon toothpaste I doubled the toothpaste recipe and divided it into small containers. I stored the containers that my son was not using in the fridge. This toothpaste did a great job of cleaning my teeth. My son says that I should use chocolate extract next time for chocolate toothpaste.

This natural toothpaste is so easy to make and I recommend storing the toothpaste in a small container as it has no preservatives in it. Also, make sure that you use a small clean spoon to apply the DIY toothpaste to your toothbrush, that way no bacteria gets into the container of natural toothpaste. This delicious tasting natural toothpaste can be made into other flavors like mint or cinnamon by switching out the lemon extract for mint or cinnamon extract. The toothpaste that is all-natural does not foam like traditional toothpaste but it still cleans your teeth. My son has not had any cavities and his dentist approves of the toothpaste. This natural toothpaste does not contain fluoride either and my son's dentist is on board with my son not using fluoride in his toothpaste.

Homemade Natural Lemon Drop Toothpaste

Ingredients
2 Tbsp bentonite clay
3-4 Tbsp distilled or boiled water that has cooled
1/8 teaspoon powder stevia
1/4- 1/2 teaspoon Nielsen-Massey Organic Pure Lemon Extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
plastic or wooden spoon or spatula
dropper

Directions
Combine 3 Tbsp of water with clay in a non-metal bowl and mix well using a non-metal spoon (the clay should never come in contact with any metals). Add half of the stevia and 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract. Mix well.

Add a pinch of salt, mix well, and taste. Add additional stevia and/or lemon extract and/or water to taste and texture, adding extract one drop at a time and water 1/2 Tbsp at a time. The flavors will blend together over time, so wait 48 hours before making significant adjustments to the flavor.

Spring Clean Your Fragrance Routine! Do You Know What Is In Your Perfume?

Sponsored post: I received compensation for this post

Do you know that your favorite fragrance could be loaded with chemicals?

About three years ago I decided to start getting chemicals out of my house and it has been quite the journey. It has been quite the learning experience for me as I realize how bad some of these chemicals can be. I have also learned that products that I thought were safe for my family are not. Over the years I have been swapping safe natural products for things like beauty products, cleaners, and more.   I think it all started with my son and toothpaste. My youngest son always had painful mouth sores (also known as canker sores) in his mouth and we were treating it with "magic mouthwash" from the doctor. The sores never went away as the "magic mouthwash" just alleviated the pain. It was a sample of an SLS-free toothpaste that I received that took away those painful mouth sores and started me on my journey to get chemicals out of my house. Some of the chemical products that I have switched out to natural alternatives have been cleaners, deodorants, toothpaste, weed killer, air freshener, sunscreen, and hand lotion. Perfume/fragrance is the one chemical that I am working on right now.

#GoodScents
It’s time for transparency with fragrances!
I was shocked to learn that many fragrances are full of phthalates and petrochemicals and some are even derived from animals+. Most of us have no clue what chemicals are in the fragrance in our personal care products as companies can just list fragrance on the label and they don't have to disclose what synthetic scent chemicals are in their secret recipe for their fragrance. Their fragrance could contain additives like phthalates, petrochemicals, and even oxybenzone—and none of it needs to be disclosed. Did you know that fragrance is in many products? Products like shampoo, dish soap, lotion, cosmetics, soap, etc.

The need for transparency in fragrances was clear.
Goddess Garden Founder, Nova Covington, was inspired to start her company after her daughter had serious reactions to the synthetic chemicals in conventional body care products. Because label reading was such a necessity for them, transparency has been Goddess Garden’s standard practice. However, when it comes to fragrance, everyone—including the most avid label readers—are still in the dark. Even among natural products, labels often list only ‘a blend of natural and essential oils.’ This is simply not enough information if you have allergies, sensitivities or if you prefer clean ingredients or animal-friendly options.

My youngest son has helped me strive to get natural scented personal care products as he has had several bouts of eczema from products, even ones labeled hypoallergenic. I myself, have had coughing attacks when there is too much fragrance in products. So I knew it was time to seek out products with fragrance from natural ingredients.

I have not been able to wear or be around perfume for as long as I can remember as I am sensitive/allergic to perfume. In fact, my husband knew to never buy "manly" scented products. The teen on the other hand, quickly learned that if he applied aftershave and needed a ride to school, that all the car windows would be open, even in the winter, so I would not have a coughing attack. So when Goddess Garden introduced their Natural Perfume Line, I was excited! I could now wear a fragrance that went beyond my natural deodorant and me smelling my armpits. This natural oil-based perfume that has natural perfume oils will complement the aromatherapy bracelet that I love wearing.

I love that Goddess Garden created these organic hypoallergenic perfumes for a woman like me. I like that I can wear a great scented fragrance and not have to worry about allergies and hormone disruption. Yes, the fragrance chemicals that are lurking in most beauty products are linked to hormone disruption!++

Spring Clean Your Fragrance Routine ++
From hormone disruption and allergies to animal cruelty, something smells fishy with fragrance! Spring is the time when we open our doors and windows and clean up and refresh our homes. As you kick-off, your spring cleaning, don’t forget to clean up your fragrance routine! Look for fragrances hidden in not only your cleaning supplies but also in lotions, haircare, soaps, facial care, and cosmetics. And remember, even if something isn’t heavily scented, it may still contain fragrance. They’re often used to conceal the smell of the chemicals, so label reading is a must!

These natural scented non-toxic perfumes smell so good! I simply love all the scents and love choosing a new scent every day. I think my favorite one is the Lavender Sky essential oil roll-on perfume. This is the best lavender perfume that I have smelled, even my youngest son wears it! My son applies it to his neck before bed as the lavender scent helps him to relax. The roll-on essential oil perfumes also come in scents like Wildflower, Amber Fire, Citrus Sunrise, and Rainforest. The ingredients are simple and all listed on the box. There are no hidden ingredients as Goddess Garden has nothing to hide as they don't use chemicals in their products. I already use many other products from Goddess Garden. My favorite is their natural sunscreen that keeps my skin safe from the sun. I have worn this sunscreen* to the pool and my skin has never experience sunburn.
