The Day I Was A Mermaid

Have you ever wondered what it would be like having a mermaid tail instead of legs?

I think a lot of girls dream of being a mermaid. I always thought mermaids were so pretty and wanted to be one. I just loved how their tails looked and how gracefully they could swim in the water. So when I had an opportunity to become a mermaid, I jumped/swam for joy. My journey into becoming a mermaid began with selecting my mermaid tail. There were so many beautiful mermaid tails to select from. Once I saw the Bali Blush Mermaid Tail, I knew it was the one for me. I just love all the purple in it. I just could not wait to become a mermaid.

The day finally came and my mermaid tail arrived at my house. My 9-year-old was more excited and asked if he could try on my beautiful tail. The tail looked so pretty on him and all he needed was wig to be able to look like a mermaid. Then it was my turn to be transformed into a mermaid. The tail and fin were quite easy to put on. My husband thought I was one pretty mermaid.

The weather was quite cool out and this mermaid could not find any water. Her land husband suggested the bathtub but she said: "no, a mermaid needs lots of water to swim." So the pretty mermaid just possed by the rocks, enjoying a tail instead of legs. She thought of lying on a beach all day without a care in the world. Then reality stepped in and the mermaid realized she lived in the desert without any water in sight. So this mermaid/mom booked a room at the Drury Inn as this hotel has an indoor pool.

The mermaid finally had water to swim in and decided to dip her tail in the water. She quickly realized that swimming with a tail was quite challenging but she did not let that get in her way. After some practice, the mermaid enjoyed her tail until her non-fish children wanted a try. Those land boys enjoyed using her fin and swam quite well. The mermaid tail was quite big on the land boys but that did not stop them from wearing it in the water.

The mermaid had a great time with her family in the water and quickly realized that having legs were needed to be able to walk. So she transformed back into a mom and dreamed of the day that she could become a mermaid again.
