I love my new silk Areca Palm Tree and it looks so real. The best part is that I do not have to water it. I am not a plant person and I tend to kill plants. I either over water my plants or forget about them. That is one reason why I have drought resistant plants outside. I have tried many times to grow other plants either indoors or outside and have not succeeded. So I love that I can have silk plants that look so real! My favorite plants are tropical plants but I live in the desert so I can not have the real thing inside my house as they will not survive. So when I saw this palm tree, I just knew that I had to have this beautiful plant.
This plant looks great outside my house. It is the perfect size to place by my front door. I love that it comes in a pot but I can "replant" it to another pot if I want. The palm tree gives my front door a tropical touch. This plant would also look great in my backyard.
I received a silk palm tree to facilitate this post.
I added some rocks to my tree to give it a special touch as I did not care for the green moss look of the base of the tree.
This is my close-up shot of the palm tree and it looks so real in my photo.
For now, this wonderful maintenance-free palm tree will add a wonderful touch to my living room/workspace. When I need it for photos, it is light enough for me to move. Once the weather warms up, I may move the palm tree outdoors. I think it would look great in my patio area. I may just have to order some more silk plants.
Here is a photo that shows more of the room that my tree is in. Please excuse the mess as this is also my office. This palm tree brightens up my dull living room. Since this room is at the back of the house it does not get much light and a real plant would never survive. I just love that I don't have to remember to water this plant!
I received this plant from http://www.museumtrees.com/ and I love their selection of silk plants. This place is a great place to order maintenance-free plants from. They also carry flowers, containers, home decor, and so much more. I have a wish list of plants that I shared with my husband so he knows what to get me for Christmas and my birthday.

I love having silk plants! They always seem to make for the perfect decor. I really like where you have it in your living room area. Having the candles and tealight holder beside it really brings it all together!
YES THEY ARE! I do not buy the real deal, EVER! I will not be able to keep that crap alive! LOL! These are so worth the buck!
I like silk plants. I had a few but then my kids destroyed them...
I can totally relate to you!!! I am not a plant person either!! I also tend to kill plants..but these silk plants not only are zero maintenance, but are also beautiful and can enhance and decorate any room!
I love maintenance free! I have never had a green thumb and anything I try to grow does not do too well so this would be perfect for me.
As a person with a truly Brown Thumb this looks like a perfect option to adding a bit of green to my decor. I will have to look into this for sure.
I use a lot of artificial plants and flowers in my house. I love to use them for a backdrop for my photos.
