White Matcha Tea Is Loaded With Antioxidants For Better Health And Great Smoothies

My readers know I am crazy about Matcha green tea powder as I have written several posts about it. I love the health benefits of Matcha powder as well as the natural energy it provides. I personally do not like the taste of green tea but I want the benefits of it. I love using Matcha in my smoothies as it tastes so much better that way and it is like drinking many cups of green tea.  I recently discovered White Matcha Tea Powder and had to try it. White Matcha is made in exactly the same way as regular Green Tea Matcha is made but with white tea leaves. Matcha tea powder is made from tea leaves that are stone-ground to a fine powder.

Are you thinking, what is white Matcha tea powder and why should I drink it? Let me explain what Matcha is and the great benefits of it.

White Tea has some wonderful qualities to help maintain good health. In essence, White Matcha contains those same qualities with a purer taste. The health benefits of White Matcha include:

High antioxidant count to kill free radicals in the bloodstream
Reduces the risk of certain types of cancer
Decreases fine lines and wrinkles in the skin
Helps maintain a beautiful complexion
Has only one percent (1%) caffeine content of coffee

What is the flavor of amazing White Matcha? Its flavor is quite mild with a vague natural sweetness. It is lightly malty and does not have a grassy taste like some teas do. White Tea is delicate with a slight perfume-like taste. I have an amazing recipe for a smoothie that uses White Matcha Tea. If you are new to Matcha, you will not be able to taste the Matcha, all you will taste is just a wonderful grape flavor. You can also mix the White Matcha tea powder in hot water for a hot beverage.

Purple Cow Smoothie
1 cup plain yogurt( store-bought or Homemade)
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup grape juice
1 teaspoon White Tea Matcha

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix for about a minute on high speed. This makes a generously sized smoothie that is great for breakfast or 2 servings for a snack. I drink this smoothie for breakfast before I go running as it is easy on my stomach. The energy I get from it gives me a great 5-mile run.

White Matcha is a great tea and of the best quality. It is one of the most competitively priced matcha tea powders. Red Leaf offers many varieties of Matcha Tea for you to enjoy. Try them today and you will not go back to any of the other tea companies again.

What a fun recipe. I love the name, "Purple Cow Smoothie!" It looks like something fun to drink on the patio -- especially given that the sun has finally made an appearance!
