  I love Christmas as it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Having young children at home makes this time even more special as they are so excited to celebrate Christmas. Most kids, including mine, are excited for the gifts that they will receive on Christmas. While there is nothing wrong with receiving gifts, I want my boys to know the true meaning about Christmas with the birth of Jesus. I find the best way to teach my boys about Christmas is through reading books. One book that I will be reading to my boys is Christmas Love Letters From God.  This book includes seven stories that teach children about the birth of Jesus. The book starts with Isaiah’s prophecy and ends with the visit of the wise men.

 This book is very different from other Christmas books as it is written as if God is speaking. The book also includes personalized messages to your child that are letters from God.Your child will discover these letters in small envelopes throughout the book. The letters have a space to write your child's name making them feel special. Younger children will have so much fun lifting the flaps up to discover the letters. For my boys who are 8 and 9, these letters were great conversation starters that led them to their bibles to discover more about the birth of Jesus. A very special Bible verse, entitled God’s Perfect Promise, also accompanies each story and letter as God’s personal words of love, promise, and hope.
