When did freedom of religion become un-American? Be inspired by the true story of Coach Joe Kennedy and his fight for freedom in the new movie, Average Joe, in theaters October 11!
Many thanks to Average Joe for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.
Freedom of religion is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution. No matter what religion you follow, you have the right to practice it. We ALL have the right to live out our faith and beliefs without fear of getting killed or fired.
For many people, this is not the case right now and one guy decided to fight for his freedom. Coach Joe Kennedy was fired from his job for choosing to pray before his football games. When he was fired, Joe and his wife Denise knew this was a battle for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of all Americans.
Inspire your family and friends to stand up for what they believe in by seeing how God changed one man’s life in the inspiring and unwavering true story of AVERAGE JOE
About Average Joe
High school football coach Joe Kennedy had no other choice but to fight. A childhood in foster care followed by 20 years in the Marine Corps was nothing compared to his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each game. When he was fired, Joe and his wife Denise knew this battle for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of all Americans was one they would have to fight—no matter the cost.
~ From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes AVERAGE JOE, in theaters beginning October 11.

A powerful movie that gave me inspiration to stand up for my beliefs
AVERAGE JOE reminds us of the power and impact ONE person can have by standing up for what they believe. Imagine dozens, hundreds, thousands, and millions standing together for our Constitutional rights!
My Thoughts From The Movie
Joe was a troubled kid and always in trouble. As a young child, his adoptive parents could not handle his anger issues and gave him up. After being tossed from one foster family to another, one foster parent did not give up on him. He told Joe that he was stronger than his past and encouraged him to join the Marines.
It was fighting in a war, that taught Joe about fighting for his freedom and about the power of prayer. Many years later, he unwillingly accepted a job as a football coach. God showed him that these football players came from troubled lives and needed his guidance. Joe had a great influence on these kids.
Joe would pray before the football game for his team and the kids on the team chose to pray with him. Someone from the school told Joe that he could not pray on the football field. Joe decided to stand up for his right to pray.
This decision was not an easy one for Joe and his wife. Joe ended up being fired from his job as a football coach. A lawyer helped Joe fight for the Constitutional rights of every American, to be able to pray. It was a long fight with many hardships but in the end, Joe won.
It’s Time to Make YOUR Stand!
It’s a question we’ve all asked ourselves: would we be willing to risk it all for what truly matters? Coach Joe Kennedy and his wife Denise stood up for what they believe by taking on a system denying every American of their First Amendment rights. Sounds like the making of a great movie, right?\

I have had to stand up for my rights in the workplace before and it was scary but my faith gave me strength.
