For me personally, the bible helps me to walk with Christ. Reading the bible daily helps me to understand more about my relationship with God. To quote a song, it is my "basic instructions before leaving earth."
The bible can be hard to understand
While I know that the bible is an important part of my relationship with Christ, as well as prayer and fellowship, the bible can be hard to understand. So I use a daily devotion for my daily bible reading as well as a weekly bible study with friends and attending church.
I will admit that reading the bible is not always my favorite thing to do, but like sleeping and exercise, it is an important part of my faith. The bible helps me get closer to God, and I have learned over the years that it needs to be a part of my day.

I think it would be really helpful.
I feel the study notes would really help me relate the scriptures to my life and our world in the here and now. This is very helpful and encourages me to read it daily for inspiration.
I think this Bible would be very helpful in learning the Bible. I have a regular Bible it is hard for me to understand what I have a read.
I have actually been looking for something like this the past week or so, I have no idea how to study the Bible by myself and wanted to incorporate it into my cancer fight.
I do think it would help me. I love the blue leather Bible.
At 71 I still don't understand a lot of the Bible. I think this book would help.
