Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+ Bars Giveaway

The New Year always starts with me eating healthy. I admit that I eat too many Christmas cookies and may have put on a couple extra pounds (I have no clue as I do not weigh myself) so I start the New Year with me getting back to healthy eating. My healthy eating starts with me stocking the house up with healthy food like fruits and veggies, healthy proteins, healthy grains, and healthy snacks. One of the healthy snacks that I stocked up on was a delicious vegan protein bar. I made sure to get several flavors so that I would not get bored with my healthy snack. These bars have 15 grams of protein in them so I sometimes eat these for breakfast with a piece of fruit instead of my usual protein smoothie. I also keep some in my purse for on the go meals.

I received samples of the Genuine Health Vegan Proteins+ to facilitate this post.

This delicious protein bar is loaded with nutrition and keeps me full so I don't snack all day. My tummy loves that they have soy-free fermented plant-based protein. That means no bloating for this soy sensitive gal. The fermentation also means I get some gut health and immune support. While all the indulgent flavors taste great, the lemon coconut is my favorite bar. The lemon flavor is so sweet and the bar has these incredible flakes of coconut. It is simply a breakfast that I enjoy waking up too. Who knew that protein could taste so good! I will be packing some of these tasty protein bars in my carry-on when I travel later this month.

Ragamuffin: Based on the Life of Rich Mullins! A Must See DVD And A Giveaway.

I was sent this wonderful DVD about the life of Rich Mullins. Many of you may know Rich Mullins for his song "Awesome God" the one that goes:

Our God is an awesome God

He reigns from heaven above

With wisdom, power, and love

Our God is an awesome God

The DVD Ragamuffin is based on the life of Rich Mullins. The DVD tells about how he rose to Christian fame and fortune only to walk away from it and live on a Navajo reservation. I found this movie to be very interesting and I found out a lot about Rich Mullins that I enjoyed learning. Rich Mullins was one of the first christian artist that I listen to when I became a christian. I enjoy his music very much to this day. My husband and I enjoyed watching this movie and then we passed our copy along to another person in our church with the instructions that when he finished watching it, he was to pass it along to someone else to enjoy with the same instructions. We want others to enjoy this powerful DVD.

Here is some information about the movie and Rich Mullins:

RAGAMUFFIN is based on the life of Rich Mullins, a musical prodigy who rose to Christian music fame and fortune only to walk away to live on a Navajo reservation.  An artistic genius, raised on a tree farm in Indiana by a callous father, Rich wrestled all of his life with the brokenness and crippling insecurity born of his childhood. A lover of Jesus and a rebel in the church, Rich refused to let his struggles with his own darkness tear him away from a God he was determined to love. As he struggled with success in Nashville and depression in Wichita, Rich desired most of all to live a life of honest and reckless faith among a culture of religion and conformity

Singer and songwriter Richard Wayne “Rich” Mullins was best known for his worship song “Awesome God” which has been embraced as modern classics by many Christians. His music has been covered by many artists, including Caedmon’s Call, Amy Grant, Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith, Third Day, John Tesh, and Hillsong United.

Mullins’ musical career formally began with Zion Ministries in the late 1970s, where he wrote music and performed with a band called Zion. Mullins first solo hit, “Awesome God,” appeared on his third album and brought his music to a wider audience. Rich Mullins was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) on April 29, 2014.

I encourage you to buy this DVD not only for yourself but also one to give away to a Rich Mullins fan. Click on the below link to purchase this wonderful DVD.
