Mega Mesh Premium Magnetic Screen Door Is A Low-Cost Way To Cool Your House

I have seen TV commercials for those magnetic screen doors and have wondered if they really work. So when a company asked me if I wanted to review their Mega Mesh Premium Magnetic Screen Door, I just had to accept the product as I wanted to put it to the test. I wanted to see if this product really works as my husband has a tendency to leave the back door open when he goes outside. My husband loves to grill and he goes outside and when he does he leaves the back door open. Then the flies come in and all night after he grills, we are shooing away the flies. I tell him to close the door but he always tells me that he will be right back in so why bother closing the door. He needs to better communicate with the flies to keep them out.

When the mesh screen door arrived, I had my husband put it up, as he is the reason for needing one. My husband was able to put up the screen in about 5 minutes. The screen door came with adhesive velcro strips to attach it to the door frame. Tacks were also include if the velcro did not stick. The screen has been up for a week using the velcro strips and it is still strongly attached.

Once the screen was in place everybody had to try it out. My boys took turns going in and out of the screen. The magnets inside the screen allow it to close back up after they walked through. I was disappointed that it did not make that loud clashing noise like the ones on TV did, it was quiet when it closed. I happy to say that there are no flies in the house after my husband uses his grill. We also can let the cool breeze in our house through the back door.

I can say for the price of this screen door it does a good job and saves you a lot of money as screens doors are costly to install. There is a couple of things that I don't like about the screen. There is a three inch gap at the top of the screen which could let in small bugs. I will be sewing that gap up with some strong thread to solve that problem. The other thing is that I wished that they company had included full strips of velcro for the sides of the door frame. The company just included several pieces of velcro that you attached in a couple of places on your door frame, thus leaving little gaps for small bugs to get in. I guess I could us the provided tacks to take care of the gaps. We did not get any bugs in the house but you can never be too careful.

This is so neat! I could really use this on my back door since the screen door never seems to swing back shut half the time. I'm so over all the flies in the house this year.

These are awesome! I'm trying to figure out how to put it on my sliding door. I saw once where someone was able to do it but I can't find the link now. Looks like your boys enjoyed it too :)
