Start Your Fall Season With The Movie Grow

This fall, as you are thinking about pumpkin spice everything, grab your favorite pumpkin-loving friend and head to the movies to see Fall. This is a family-friendly movie about pumpkin growing and more.

Many thanks to US Pumpkin Distribution, LLC, for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

The autumn season is all about cooler weather, cozy sweaters, Halloween, and of course, pumpkins. Head to any store and you will be greeted with pumpkin everything. From pumpkin spice coffee to huge orange pumpkins to pumpkin pie, fall is all about pumpkins.

While most people think that fall is the end of gardening season, pumpkins are just getting started. These orange vegetable squashes are still growing, waiting for the end of fall to become someone's pumpkin pie or the perfect Halloween decoration.

For one town, pumpkin season is so much more. Welcome to the pumpkin capital of the world, where the pumpkins are epic, the rivalries are fierce, and the competition is anything but garden variety. Welcome to the movie Grow, a tale full of giant pumpkins, madcap characters, and a little girl who finds her place in growing pumpkins.

Grow is a story of love that grows. At the heart of GROW is the touching bond between a prickly aunt and her spirited niece. Their journey shows that sometimes the family we need grows where we least expect it.

Your fall plans just got bigger. #GrowTheFilm is in theaters on October 17! Tickets are on sale now!

About Grow

Welcome to the pumpkin capital of the world, where the pumpkins are epic, the rivalries are fierce, and the competition is anything but garden variety. Dinah Little, a no-nonsense farmer with a tough-as-a-pumpkin exterior, reluctantly takes in her abandoned niece, Charlie. Dinah is not quick to affection, and Charlie is not one for sitting still. So she throws her into farm life, sleeves rolled up and hands in the dirt.

Then comes the town’s biggest spectacle, the annual pumpkin-growing contest, a Halloween season tradition that brings out wild stunts, eccentric characters, and record-setting drama. But Charlie has something no one else does, a special knack for connecting with plants that quietly reflects her own longing to feel just as seen and loved.

But as both pumpkin and plot thicken, and rival growers pull every trick in the book, will Charlie and Dinah’s unlikely entry stand tall against the fiercest competition the town has ever seen?

As her pumpkin grows bigger, so does her bond with her aunt Dinah. Together they discover that the real prize is not measured in pounds, but in joy, laughter, and family. What begins as a seed blossoms into an exuberant and hilarious story of crazed competition, found family, and love that grows as boundless as the pumpkins themselves.

Grow has the most colorful cast of characters. From curmudgeonly farmers to over-the-top rivals, every character feels like they’ve stepped out of a cozy, autumnal fairy tale. Charlie’s pumpkin, “Peter” isn’t the only thing full of personality—the whole town bursts with quirky charm.
