Little House On The Prairie was a huge part of my childhood

 I have fond memories as a child, reading the Little House books and watching Little House On The Prairie. I remember checking out the books that Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote and reading them. When I read these books, I always thought about what it was like to live on the prairie.

 I would imagine what it was like to attend school in a one-room schoolhouse and what it was like living on a farm. These books really inspired me, and to this day, when I am processing carrots for juice or working in my garden, I pretend that I am living back on the prairie.

 As a young girl, I watched Little House On The Prairie almost every day. My favorite character on the show was Nellie Oleson. I loved the name Nellie so much that I even selected this name for a future daughter. Sadly, I had 4 boys, and my husband said no to that name for our only daughter.

Christmas at the Cabin reminds us to stop striving for perfection

 I was able to watch the film and I enjoyed watching the movie. While watching this movie, I had some insights that I could apply to my own life. We want to make Christmas a big, huge celebration that is picture-perfect. Through all the hard work that we put into planning, cooking, shopping, etc, we may forget to enjoy the holiday. We may forget the reason that we celebrate Christmas. We may forget that this is a time to spend with friends and family. 

Do you get excited about Christmas, or do you dread Christmas? 

 There are parts of Christmas that I get excited about, but then there are parts of the holiday that I dread. I love baking cookies with the kids, spending time with my family, and attending the Christmas Eve service. The parts of Christmas that stress me are shopping, decorating, and thinking that everything has to be perfect.

This movie reminded me of what Christmas is all about. When Michelle realized that she could not do everything on her perfect list, she found the best Christmas miracles come wrapped in chaos. This movie will help the family get into the Christmas spirit.

The movie Grow was one that I enjoyed watching. This movie kept me entertained and laughing. The end of the movie had me craving for part 2 of the movie. All the pumpkin action made me want to grow my own pumpkin. This is a funny, feel-good movie that the whole family will enjoy.

 I had the opportunity to watch this movie, and I enjoyed watching it. This was a movie that is perfect for the whole family to watch. It is a movie that will keep children entertained, even the tweens and teens, while also being a movie that parents will enjoy. It is a family-friendly movie that is packed with adventure.

Dot Conner: Webtective is a mystery movie that reminded me of a popular kid's spy movie. This movie is current with the times, showing the lead character on her computer doing a live video with her fans. The movie also touches upon the struggles of this age group, showing Dot being anxious about the first day of school. I love the school classroom scenes that show the struggles of kids trying to fit in.

 I also loved that this movie included references to bible verses while not making it look like a religious movie. The cool part was seeing how the teens could reference the verses to the struggles they were facing, while helping the viewer understand how the bible verses can relate to them.

This is an action-packed movie filled with mystery that the whole family will enjoy watching. It is a perfect movie for family movie night.

Teaching children about Jesus can be tough in a digital age. Children are used to seeing the world and learning through electronic devices. While some kids have parents who read to them with books, most children get their entertainment through videos. So having a movie that teaches kids about Jesus is a good thing, and it is even better when the movie can be enjoyed by adults. 

When I was given the chance to watch The Light Of The World, I thought that it was going to be a typical children's movie that was geared toward younger kids, but this movie kept me engaged. It even helped me see bible verses in a better way and understanding. 

At the end of the movie, I loved these words as they spoke to me in a new way. I knew that they would help young children, and even adults, understand more about Jesus.

  ~ His death is not the end; it is the beginning.

  ~ He did not come to defeat our enemies. He showed us how to love them.

  ~ He did not come to condemn us but to fill us with His light and lead us back to God  

I really enjoyed it when John took his Dad's hands and helped him say the Salvation prayer of giving his life to Christ.

  ~ It starts with a prayer: Jesus, you died upon a cross and rose again to save the lost. Forgive me now of all my sins. Come be my Lord and friend. Change my life and make it new. Help me, Lord, to live for You.

My Review of The Movie

This was an emotional and intense movie to watch. It reminded me of a current television show that my husband likes to watch called Survivor. Watching what Donn had to endure in the wilderness was tough to watch. I was amazed at his strength to not give up. The movie showed actual movie footage and photos from the real-life rescue. I loved that the movie also had plenty of scenes of a much older Donn reflecting on his experience as well as parents talking about their memories.

A tough movie to watch

WHITE BIRD was a tough movie to watch. It was about Julian learning about kindness through his grandma. His grandma was a Jewish schoolgirl in France who lived during the time of WWII. The movie is about the story of how she escaped death. 

 Julian's grandma was in school when the Nazis came for the Jewish people. She was able to hide from the Nazis in the woods. It was a young schoolmate by the name of  Julian who risked his life and that of his family to help her. Julian hid her in his family's old barn for over a year. During this time, the two young classmates formed a friendship in a secret world that no one could know about. When Julian was killed by the Nazis, his parents continued to help her, even after the war ended.

A Feel-Good Movie  

 I really enjoyed watching My Christmas Hero. This was a movie filled with romance, comedy, and good values. If you love movies with love at first site, then you are going to love this movie.

 The movie My Christmas Hero starts off with a doctor at a military hospital entering a patient's room and becoming speechless when she sees her patient. The doctor tries to suppress her feelings, as she has a rule of never dating patients, but the military service member works his charm and gets her to agree to meet for hot chocolate. 

 The rest of the movie is all about these two actors becoming friends and helping other service members. The friendship keeps growing and a mission to find someone who knew her grandfather, before he was killed during a war, leads to so much more. You will have to watch the movie to see how it ends.

When does the Christmas holiday season start for you? For some, it starts with putting up the Christmas tree. For others, it is when the stores put out the new holiday decorations. Then there is the timing of when the holiday season starts. I have friends who put up their Christmas tree the day after Halloween while I am in the group that says the Christmas season starts after Thanksgiving.

 I love starting the holiday season by listening to Christmas music and watching holiday movies. All I need is a Christmas cookie and a classic Christmas movie to be in the holiday spirit. While this puts me into the holiday spirit, the one thing that helps me remember the true meaning of the holiday season is when my church does a presentation of the Christmas Story of the Birth of Jesus.

When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS!
