I love how easy this white bean hummus is to make.
A big dish of hummus always helps me to eat more veggies. The veggies taste better when dipped in hummus. The good thing is hummus can be healthy when made right. Hummus is so easy to make at home and once you make it, you will never buy store-bought hummus again. Now most people think of chickpeas and tahini being the main ingredients, but I am going yo show you how to make a delicious healthy hummus with white beans. All you need is a can of white beans and some kind nuts like walnuts or cashews along with some other ingredients that you probably have in your pantry. Did you know hummus is high in protein, fiber, and healthy oils? So whip up a batch of this delicious white bean hummus and eat all the veggies you want. My favorite veggies to dip in hummus are carrots and cherry tomatoes. I also like dipping broccoli and mushrooms.
Easy White Bean Hummus
1 can white beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup sliced raw walnuts, unsalted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2-4 tablespoons water
Serves 2-4
Place all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender and blend for 2 minutes or until smooth, adding more water if needed to get desired texture. Serve this delicious hummus with raw veggies and crackers. I suggest to place a serving size portion in a dish as this dip is so good you might just eat the whole thing. Relax though if you do as it is a healthy high protein dip.

I like adding garlic powder and crushed red pepper to my white bean hummus. Save those red pepper packages from the pizza place as they are great for adding flavor to food. My recipe uses just one package for great flavor but it you want some heat to your hummus then use two or more packages
