A Healthy Gut Needs Prebiotics

I learned recently that my gut needs the help of prebiotics!

Thank you Genuine Health for the awesome box of supplements!

I love attending conferences that are all about healthy living as I always walk away with something new. I recently attended the Moms Meet Wow Summit in Chicago and I learned that taking probiotics is not enough to keep our gut happy and healthy. There were several brands at the conference that were talking about their prebiotic products and I learned some new information about how prebiotics help probiotics. Basically, the prebiotics feeds the probiotics so they can do their job of keeping our gut happy and healthy. Did you know that probiotics don't survive very long in our gut? That is the reason that there are usually over a billion of them per serving. So by giving those good guys (the probiotics) some food (prebiotics), they survive longer in your gut. This made perfect sense to me and I knew that I had to start taking a prebiotic supplement. I left the conference with samples of a prebiotic fiber supplement and was excited to add it to my smoothie as with cold and flu season coming I wanted to get my gut healthy. Did you know that a healthy gut helps with your immune system?

I thought that those prebiotic samples from the conference were something that I needed to start taking but I was wrong as there was an even better gut product waiting for me when I got home. I was so excited to see that a company that I regularly work for one step ahead of me. Genuine Health sent me a box filled with their Fermented Organic Gut Superfoods. I knew right away from looking at the container that this was a perfect food source for my good bacteria in my gut. Genuine Health was not at the conference but they should have been as this is a company that is all about healthy. I loved that I was getting 27 fully fermented greens and superfoods in a no bloat supplement that had come in amazing flavors.

When my box of samples arrived, I was busy taking pictures. I set my camera down as I just had to try Orange Ginger Flavor of the Gut Superfoods. I mixed it with some nut milk and took a sip. My taste buds began to smile! I enjoyed my delicious thick shake and then read the label. I was amazed at all the fruits and veggies that were in this delicious gut health drink. I like that there was also 6 grams of fiber and vitamins and minerals. This was one healthy drink that was going to keep my gut healthy. I also loved that this whole food supplement was dairy free, soy free, gluten free, and vegan. So my tummy remained happy and had no gas later that day. Which for me is a good thing as dairy and soy can make me gassy.

1 – Made from 21 organic plant-based superfoods that are rich in phytonutrients called polyphenols, which not only feed our gut microbes but have synergistic benefits with them, too!
2 – Easy-to-tolerate source of prebiotic fiber that helps to feed “good” bacteria and won’t irritate the gut – or cause bloating.
3 – Fully-fermented, amplifying the plant nutrients and improving digestion.

Genuine Health Fermented Organic Gut Superfood is now my favorite afternoon treat.

I've always had issues with my stomach, ever since I was a child! I still have major issues to this day, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I don't use probiotics. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Yeah, probiotics is such a wonderful drink for all aged people who suffered with constipation. I have used probiotics for more than six months regular.
