FED Fitness Series PT4 Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine

If you need help with performing pull-ups, the Power Tower can make a perfect addition to any home workout space. This fitness machine will help you build upper body strength all in the comfort of your home.

My husband has been having a hard time getting himself to the gym. He sets his alarm clock to wake up early to go to the gym but turns it off and goes back to sleep. Sleep has been winning way too often, and my husband is losing his motivation to exercise.

FED Fitness reached out to me with an offer to review home gym equipment. I thought about my husband as I was deciding which exercise machine to review. I selected an Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine.

My husband has been working on his upper strength, and this looked like the perfect exercise machine to motivate him. It was a piece of gym equipment that could work different muscles of the body.

Where would the Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine go?

If you have been following me for a while, you may know that I have a room upstairs for my home gym. My workout room has several pieces of exercise machines from FED Fitness as well as free weights. The room is small, and there is no more space available for gym equipment.

So, my husband decided to make a space in the garage for his gym. The space is small, but it will be enough room for his recumbent exercise bike and the FED Fitness Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine.

About the FED Fitness Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine

The FED Fitness Sportsroyals Series PT4 Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine is a versatile, budget-friendly 2-in-1 home gym station that offers upper body & core strength training.

• 2-in-1 Assisted Pad: Features a high-density sponge pad that provides pull-up assistance and folds down into a posture-correcting backrest for core and knee/leg raises.

• Resistance Band Support System: Utilizes durable nylon resistance ropes/stopper bands adjustable from 22 to 88 lbs to assist with bodyweight exercises.

• Heavy-Duty Stability: Built with a reinforced steel commercial structure, a 39.7-inch long H-shaped base, and 8 non-slip rubber support points providing a 450 lb weight capacity.

• Fully Adjustable Frame: Includes a 6-level height-adjustable pull-up bar (ranging from 64.56" to 87.01"), adjustable armrest width (15.75" to 18.11"), and 45° rotatable push-up handles.

• Affordable Price: $349.99

Perfect for small spaces

The Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine is perfect for small spaces. It needs a space that is around 40 " X 27". This strength machine is quite tall and does require a maximum height of 88" or more for tall people. The machine is adjustable for those with shorter ceilings. The minimum height is 65".

Assembly Required

This FED Fitness machine does need some extra assembly when compared to their cardio machines, but I liked that it included all the tools needed to assemble it. Everything was well wrapped in plastic and foam.

The instruction book is easy to follow with pictures and written instructions. I liked that the screws and bolts were clearly labeled according to the steps in the instruction book. My husband and I were able to put the machine together in 2 hours.

My first pull-up

Once the Assisted Power Tower Pull-Up Machine was assembled, I did my first pull-up. Right away, I noticed that the tower was very stable and durable. This power tower was similar to the one that I have used at my local gym but had some differences. Most gyms have two different machines that are equal to this 2-in-one tower,

Features that I liked

Adjustable resistance: The tower is powered by 4 bungee cords that can be adjusted. Each cord has the equivalent strength of 22 pounds. To make your pull-up harder, you can remove cords.

Adjustable height: The frame can be adjusted to many different heights. My husband is 6'2" and I am 5'5", so we need different heights.

Great for core and arm strength: The knee board that is used for the assisted pull-ups can be removed and attached to the back, so you can do core exercises.

Features that could be improved

Assisted pad removal: The assisted pad took time to remove and place on the back to change exercises. Having it fold down would be better, and having a permanent one for the back would be ideal for me.

Having more cords with 10-pound strength: I would like to have the ability to lower the strength by 10 pounds instead of 22.

For the price point, this machine is a good tower for the home. The towers at the gym may have better features, but this tower is equal to 2 different gym towers. Gym memberships are also more expensive, and we don't get there as often as we like. Having this tower in the garage will make it easier for my husband to work out.
