YOSUDA YB007R Magnetic Exercise Bike Vs Nordictrack S10i Studio Cycle

Check out how the affordable YOSUDA YB007R Magnetic Exercise Bike compares with the Nordictrack S10i Studio Cycle. As a fitness person who seeks the best at-home workout equipment, this article compares the 2 exercise bikes side by side.

I was sent a YOSUDA YB007R Magnetic Exercise Bike to review and I will be giving my honest opinion of the product while comparing it to a Nordictrack S10i Studio Cycle. I purchased the Nordictrack S10i Studio Cycle several years ago with my own money.

Call me crazy but I love exercising. I also love checking out fitness equipment. I get excited when I visit a new gym as I have new options for exercise equipment. So when Yosuda invited me to review their exercise equipment, I said "yes."

I already own a rowing machine from Yosuda so I was familiar with this company. I have owned my rower for 18 months and I am happy with the quality of this home exercise machine. My teen son and I both use the rower several times a week for intense exercise. This rowing machine is still in great shape.

When I accepted the invite to try out the Yosuda at-home exercise bike, I was curious to see how it compared to my current exercise bike. The exercise bike that I have been using for my home workouts is a Nordictrack Studio Cycle S10i. I purchased this bike 2 years ago with my own money and use it several times a week.

When purchasing exercise equipment, the first things that I consider are the price of the machine and how durable it is. Then I consider how easy it is to assemble.

Comparing the price: The YOSUDA YB007R Magnetic Exercise Bike is very affordable and currently priced at $369.99 while the current price of the Nordictrack S10i Studio Cycle is about $1500.00. That is a huge price difference. The Nordictrack bike may be priced higher due to it having its touchscreen and machine-controlled features like incline and resistance. Since these features are not on the Yosuda bike, I will not be reviewing them and I will focus on the similar aspects of both bikes.

Comparing the durability and size: Both bikes are made out of steel and they both feel very solid. One difference that I noticed between the two bikes is the weight. The Yosuda weighs 75 pounds while the Nordictrack weighs 163 pounds. This may be due to the Nordictrack having a large screen, 6 pounds of hand weights, and a motor.

There is a slight difference in size between the 2 bikes.

  + Yosuda ~ 43.3" x 49.6" x 21.85"

  + Nordictrack ~ 55" x 55.5”x 22”

Comparing the assembly: The Yosuda Magnetic Bike was easier to assemble when compared to the Nordictrack bike. The Yosuda came mostly assembled and I only had to attach a couple of parts. I was able to assemble this bike in about 30 minutes. It was mostly a one-person job as my husband had to help hold the bike while I attached the bike's bottom stabilizers.

While it has been a while since I bought my Nordictrack bike, I remember how frustrated my husband was when he assembled it as it had many more parts. My older son, who is a mechanic, had to help him.

Using the Yosuda exercise bike vs the Nordictrack exercise bike

Using the Yosuda Bike

Once I got the Yosuda bike assembled, I hopped on the bike and took it for a spin. I did a similar workout on it as I would do on my Nordictrack cycle. Since I am used to using a guided screen ride with my Nordictrack, I watched a workout on my phone and adjusted the resistance when the screen prompted me to do so.

Handlebars and Seat: I was able to adjust the handlebars and the seat on the bike so it was comfortable for me. The seat was nicely padded and a good size. I liked that I could place my hands in multiple places on the handlebars.

Pedals: The pedals were made of metal and had adjustable foot cages.

Device Holder: The bike had a place for my phone or tablet and they did not slip while I was riding the bike. I was able to watch an interactive bike program on my tablet which made the bike fun to ride.

Resistant Knob: The resistant knob was easy to operate and I was able to adjust it from an easy pedaling to a strong pedaling.

Quiet Ride: The Yosuda was very quiet while it was in motion and the flywheel made a smooth ride.

Monitor: The monitor was easy to read and I was able to see my speed, time, and other functions. I liked that I could adjust the monitor. The monitor uses batteries.

No Electric Needed: The Yosuda bike can be used anywhere in your home and does not require electricity to operate.

Overall, I was able to get a good workout on the Yosuda bike. I was able to adjust the resistance on the bike for an intense sweaty workout. I was surprised at how well-made this bike was and that I was able to use it like my Nordictrack bike.

Using Nordictrack Bike

Handlebars and Seat: The seat and handlebars were both adjustable. The seat is on the small side and not comfortable to sit on for more than a couple of minutes. The handlebars had many hand positions.

Pedals: The pedals are metal and have foot cages.

Screen: The Nordictrack has a big screen. This allows you to watch interactive exercise videos but you have to pay a monthly fee.

Needs electricity: While you can use the bike without the monthly service, it still needs to be plugged in to operate the resistance of the bike.

Resistant Control: The screen has buttons to adjust the resistance of the bike as well as moving the bike up or down.

Monitor: The big screen on the bike shows your speed, time, and other functions.

Quiet Ride: This bike is quiet while in motion.

Price: $1500+

When comparing the Nordictrack bike to the Yosuda, it had the same functions for a similar workout. Both bikes gave me the same intensity of workout. Many years ago, I chose the Nordictrack for the interactive workout features that control the bike and for the exercise programs. These features make the bike $1200+ more expensive. Plus you have to pay $40+ a month for their exercise programs.

When you take out the expensive interactive features of the Nordictrack Bike, the Yosuda Magnetic Bike is the best choice for an affordable bike that is quality-made. It is the best choice for an at-home workout. Since it does not need to be plugged in, you won't have to worry about replacing motors or other computer parts, which I had to do for my Nordictrack bike at the cost of $150.

The one thing that I like about using an exercise bike like the Yosuda or the Nordictrack is how you can make the bike ride easy or hard. For an easy bike ride just stay seated on the comfy bike seat and keep the resistance low. For an intense ride, turn the resistant knob up, alternate between sitting and standing, and pedal faster.

That sounds like a nice workout equipment. I am so lazy going to the gym but this one is perfect for me as I more like staying at home to exercise.

I bought an exercise bike a few months ago, but I ended up gifting it to my sister because it just wasn't right for me. I've been meaning to get another and these are great recommendations that I will keep in mind

I have an exercise bike that is collecting dust. My dr wanted me to ride it daily after my hip surgery. But with work on my feet and walking, I’m done for the day after I get home.

I use a bike similar to the one you reviewed and I have to say I like the look of yours so much. I would go with this one as the size is right for me as I have limited space in my home. Looks solid and will check it out for Black Friday!
