Christmas is the time of year when people strive to create the most wonderful holiday. It is the time of year when people want everything to be perfect. From decorating the perfect Christmas tree to buying the best presents, we tend to lose sight of the real reason we celebrate the Christmas holiday. In the hustle and bustle of the holiday, we often forget the reason why Jesus was born.
Many thanks to Kingdom Faith Marketing Services for providing a sample of the product for this review. My opinions are 100% my own.
Christmas is supposed to be a day of joy and celebration but for many people, this is not the case. Many people do not know why Jesus came down from heaven to be born as a little baby. There may be people who know Jesus but are hurting or living troubled lives. There are some who may think that Christmas is only for those who have money. There are many more reasons why Christmas is not a happy time.
Make this Christmas about Jesus
Through all of the planning for Christmas, many forget the true meaning of Christmas. We tend to celebrate the presents, the decorating, and the holiday parties. Even those who attend church may forget the true meaning of Christmas, as was the case of a church that worked hard to have the best Christmas pageant.
For this church, it took a bunch of troublemaker kids, to teach them the true meaning of Christmas.

About The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Herdman kids are absolutely the worst. They lie, they steal, they bully…and they’ve hijacked the town Christmas pageant. THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER follows six siblings who sneak into church searching for snacks and walk away with the lead roles in the town pageant. Grace (Judy Greer) is directing the performance for the very first time; she and her daughter Beth (Molly Belle Wright) and husband Bob (Pete Holmes) are less than amused. But the play’s mischievous stars might unwittingly teach a community the true meaning of Christmas.
Directed by Dallas Jenkins (“The Chosen”) and based on the international bestseller by Barbara Robinson, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever features Lauren Graham.

The Herdman Kids Hijacked The Christmas Play
Nobody expected the Herdman kids would ever walk into a church but it was cake that they were looking for. A classmate mentioned, after one of the Herdman kids stole his dessert, that he gets cake at church. That Sunday the Herdmans came to church and decided that they wanted to be stars in the Christmas Pageant.
The Herdmans threatened to beat up anyone who got in their way of being Mary, Joesph, and the rest of the lead roles in the play. The director of the play had no choice, so she worked hard to make the Christmas play happen with the Herdmans. It was not an easy thing!
The Herdman kids showed up to every rehearsal as they wanted to be movie stars. There was fighting, swearing, and even a fire in the church. The people of the church did not want these kids in the play. These kids had no clue about the Christmas story but they wanted to learn. The play almost did not happen but in the end, it was the Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
The Herdman children taught the folks of the church the true meaning of Christmas. There was not a dry eye in the audience, including mine. When the movie was over, I was crying.
Put a new focus on Christmas and the church Christmas pageant
If you have ever had a role in the church Christmas pageant or had a child participate, then you know the amount of work that goes into this play. From making the costumes to the many hours of practicing, everyone wants the Christmas play to be perfect.
The church director of the play selects the best people to participate in the play as they want the show to be the best for those who attend the church. Through all this perfectness, we forget the real reason for the Christmas performance. We forget the true meaning of Christmas. We forget why God sent His only Son to be born in Bethlehem.
This Christmas as we are preparing for Christmas, we need to remember those who may not know the love of Jesus. We need to think about those people who only come to church on Christmas. The Christmas play is a way that we can show Jesus to others. Watching The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will help you relearn the true meaning of Christmas.

I watched the Nutcracker every year growing up. it was always colorful and fun.
I remember watching a church play with an angel all in white, singing a solo.
We are agnostic, so our family doesn't believe this, but it sounds like a lovely movie. I do have many religious friends and family members so they'd love this. Plus I love Lauren Graham.
I remember seeing the Nutcracker with my mother it was a wonderful night.

I remember watching my nephew in Mickey's Christmas Carol. He was the cutest mouse I ever did see.
I'm always remember the Nutcracker play I was in during 5th grade.
I remember my kids in church Christmas programs every year. I loved watching them smiling and singing. I remember the fun and hope they have as they perform!
This sounds like a fun Christmas movie. I remember going to church for Christmas Eve service with my grandparents. We used to go every year but since i divorced I haven’t been in a while.
I remember my kids' Christmas plays!
I remember a school play my grandson was in. The kids were so cute.
I live in Brazil, I remember when I was a little kid my father took my brother an I to watch a play for kids. It was about a girl who didn't take care of her toys, it was Christmas eve and they gained life, the part I was most excited was when the doll from a TV show was dancing her theme song.
This sounds like a fun new Christmas film to add to my watch list. sounds great for both adults and kids alike,
My kids had roles in the School Christmas plays. They do look super cute and are lovely to watch.
I think A Christmas Carol or The Nativity Story are some universal examples. They are great for their exploration on themes of hope, redemption, and divine love
My favorites are always with music
Sounds like a wholesome holiday movie and one i definitely am adding to my watch list now..
It's always helpful to have a game plan before things get too hectic, and your tips for staying stress-free are much appreciated.

This will be such a fun holiday movie, can’t wait.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a play, but I saw the nutcracker. Idk if that counts l, but I remember how quickly the crew was able to change the scenery and it amazed me.
I remember watching the Nutcracker I was in 8th grade. I enjoyed it.
I remember seeing A Christmas Carol ( Live Theater): It was really interesting, there was some additional narrative generally not in the book, yet seemed fitting.
