Emergency Virus Survival Begins With A Rescue Guard Survival Pack

Are you prepared for an emergency?

Would you be able to survive more than one day in the event of an emergency like a hurricane or an earthquake? Sometimes these national disasters come on suddenly and we simply have no time to prepare. If we do get some advance notice and have time to stock up on emergency supplies like food and water, often stores have long lines or they simply run out of the items that you may need. I have never been in a national disaster like a hurricane but I have seen on television the pictures of store shelves that are bare. I have also heard the stories of mass panic by people who buy everything in sight making it difficult for others to get what they need. In a time of panic, most people do not know what they need to survive after a national disaster. That is why preparing a rescue survival pack before an emergency is always a great idea so you have everything that you need to survive including N95 masks and medical gloves. It is also useful for a respiratory virus outbreak.

What if you had little time to get out of your house?

Then there is the emergency that leaves you with very little time to get out of the house. Here in New Mexico, we have forest fires called controlled burns that can get out of hand in a matter of minutes if the wind kicks in. This is a common occurrence in the summer and it leaves many people who live in that area only hours to pack up their car to leave the area. So having a rescue kit that is ready to grab and go is needed. This emergency kit also has useful items for sheltering at home during a lung virus pandemic. The N95 masks are great for a medical emergency kit and can give you protection from a virus if you have to leave your house for food.

What does one need in a rescue kit?

Most people think of food and water when they are preparing for a disaster and they run to the store for bread and water. Buying emergency supplies is so much more than that. What are you going to do if the power goes out, especially in the winter? Do you know how much supplies are needed per person? I think for those that have experienced a hurricane more than once, they have a good idea what they need in their emergency kit but for many of us who think that we are safe from national disasters, we have no clue what to have in an emergency kit or we don't have one.
What is it about snowstorms that have folks buying milk, bread and toilet paper? Because instinctually they know they need to stock up, just in case. Likewise residents in Florida prep for hurricanes with water, a three-day supply of food and a flashlight. Because of frequent meteorological disruptions, it’s not a matter of “if” but “when” a power outage suddenly occurs.

The ten must-have items you need for an emergency

1. Water
2. Food
3. Flashlights or lanterns
4. Batteries
5. First aid kit
6. Duct tape
7. Portable charging device
8. Blankets
9. Shelter
10. Pocket knife

The above is just a starter list of items that one needs to have in an emergency. Some of the items like food and water, you need to make sure that you have enough per person to survive 3 days, the typical time until help arrives. For my family of four, that is a lot of food and water. So one needs to think about how they are going to store all that food and about food spoilage. So that gets me to thinking that I need to pack some kind of food that has a lot of calories and fat and can last a long time. I think having S.O.S. Emergency Food Ration Bars in my survival pack is smart. They may not be the best tasting but they take up little space and last for 5+ years.

Sure you could fill up every water container in the house

When I see the people on the news preparing for a national disaster, I think about what I would do to prepare. I would fill up my bathtub with water and every bowl/pot that I have in the house. Well, that would be fine if I did not have to leave the house but the reality is most people have to evacuate their house with little time to fill water bottles. So having emergency pouches of water on hand is a great idea.

Be smart & give yourself peace of mind with a Survival Pack

At websites like Ready.gov and the Red Cross, the message is clear. Everyone needs to be self-sufficient for 3 days or 72 hours in case of a catastrophe. What is not clear to most is what to have in an emergency kit. So be smart and save your self the stress of last-minute shopping and get a survival pack of Preparedness Supplies that you can store in your house so it is ready to grab and go.

A survival backpack with 351 pieces that takes up little space

I love this red zipper backpack that has almost everything that my family needs for an emergency. This backpack is stuffed with so many needed supplies and it is light enough to wear on my back if I had to walk. There are items that I would have never bought for my emergency kit like a survival sleeping bags and tent as well as a pocket knife. This red backpack also has a first aid kit and flashlights. I love that it has enough food and water for 4 people for 72 hours. My sons who are in the military recognized the S.O.S. Emergency Food Bars right away. I think the water pouches are so smart as they take up so little space. I was simply amazed at all that was packed into this Rescue Guard Survival Pack!

Help or rescue may not arrive until then. Folks who weathered Hurricane Sandy, Harvey or Florence have tales to tell about washed out roads, loss of electricity and evacuations. Having basic supplies that are packed into Rescue Guard Emergency Kit is key in any disaster.

The One Item That You Need To Be Prepared For A Disaster

Be prepared for a power outage after a disaster.

After witnessing the damage caused by hurricane Florence and now hurricane Michael many people are thinking about what they need to be prepared for a natural disaster. Most people think of supplies like food, water, flashlights, and other basic items. You see on the news that people are stocking up on bread, water, and batteries, leaving the store shelves bare. Most people think about how they are going to survive with no electricity and if they can afford an expensive generator they buy one. Generators are good if you have the gas to run one and sometimes that can be hard to find before a disaster like a hurricane. The one thing most people don't think about is changing their phone. How can you call for help when your phone has no power? Sure you may have several phones to rely on but after a day they will be out of power.

The myCharge Portable Power Outlet is like a handheld generator, you can charge a smartphone 10 times and the unit also has an AC plugin for running other small electronic devices during outages.

Power is at times a necessity and it is hard to live without. So why do without power?
