Glow Sticks Are Awesome To Hand Out To Halloween Trick Or Treaters

Halloween will be here very soon. My boys are all excited to get dressed up and go trick or treating. They love going to houses and getting lots of candy. My boys are 6, 7, and 14 years old so some candy is ok but for parents of younger kids I have a great alternative to all that candy. I will be handing out Glow sticks as a fun treat that all ages will enjoy. The glow sticks can be used right away as it will be dark outside when the kids are trick or treating. I know my boys love glow sticks and love playing with them when it is dark outside. The fun lasts the whole night as my boys then play with the glow sticks in bed while they are drifting off to sleep.

I bought these super bright glow sticks off of Amazon and I love the container that they come in. You get 100 long lasting glow sticks which is plenty to hand out to the trick or treating kids. Last year in my neighborhood there was a couple handing out glow sticks while they were walking around with their kids and my boys were overjoyed to get one. It was cool to see the glow sticks  glow around the neighborhood. Even the teenagers were having fun with glow sticks.

The 100 glow sticks also come with connectors so you can make the glow sticks into bracelets. The glow are non toxic and have a shelf life of two years. I have never had glow sticks that long but that is good to know so if I over buy my glow sticks they will last to the 4th of July or next Halloween. Each tube contains 5 colors -- Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Pink and will last for 8-10 hours

So load up your pumpkin with Glow sticks instead of candy or do both and you will be the best house in the neighborhood. Those children dressed in costumes will be so happy when they receive a glow stick.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This is a great idea. My son loves getting things like this since he can't always eat the candy he gets because of allergies.

I've never thought of this, such a good alternative to candy! My kids would complain if I didn't hand out candy, but I could do both and the kids would love me!

My older son says I need to hand out candy as the teens wont like glow sticks. We always sort through the candy and then hand out all the candy that is hard or sticky to those late night teens. We give the teens big hand fulls of the candy I dont like my boys eating.

I think I might have to do both this year! I did little ziploc bags of candy and that seemed to go over well.
